I have marbled Kraftex and it turned out great. I have also embossed it and it turned out beautifully. It was a bit hard to see the embossing in this video. Also, I love the way Kraftex feels in hand. I made a small marbled travelers notebook that was in and out of my purse during a trip to France and it held up extremely well! Love the stuff.

Yes, inking the embossing folder can leave an inked impression on the substrate. Tim Holtz has so much education on doing this technique as well as so many more. I have the same Sizzix machine and I love it. I will at some point purchase a sizzle switch (electric) it has a wide pass through. But, will still keep the original one! thanks for the info!!!📔📕📖📗📚💜

Thank you for this timely video - I just received my first-ever Kraft-Tex purchase earlier this week (a roll of unwashed white from Amazon) because I’ve heard you rave about it so often I just had to try it for myself. But it would likely have languished under my sewing table for months until I screwed up my courage enough to cut and use it, so thanks for the informative confidence building session! 🤗 I still have my Sizzix ‘Big Shot’, but I use my Gemini Junior FAR more often. It is a life (and arm and hand) saver! BUT when you get your electric die cutting machine, DO NOT sell or otherwise get rid of your Sizzix. The electronic version simply goes full steam ahead, which 95% of the time is exactly what you need. But if you want to die cut into an already bound book, only the manual machine will let you insert a page and crank until YOU say ‘STOP’. Or when you only want to partially die cut the edge or a corner of your paper (or Kraft-Tex 😄) your manual machine is still going to be your best friend. Your OLD best friend, of course, but still - worth a spot on your craft shelf. Pam Thank you for another generous tip sharing session, Ali!

This was great info. I have a package of the 8.5x11 sheets but have not used it yet. You've given some fun ideas. I have a Cuttlebug machine and I still love using it to die cut and emboss. I used it previously for card making but it has now graduated to journal embellishments.
