Not going to lie, this is the coolest guest you’ve had so far. Not only is a a drifter, and has been living in Japan for so long, but he also had a perspective on the early days of anime that you couldn’t get anywhere else.
@coldbattery4 жыл бұрын
the guest fits their podcast perfectly, it's almost like a meant to be. I like pewdiepie and mr beast to be as guest too, but I think this guy fits into their conversation more perfectly. pewdiepie don't watch that many animes,so they can't talk much about it, it would just be a 2 hour introduction of pewdiepie's channel, which most people are already familiar with. And Mr beast is so out of their topics, if they start bringing any person as guest, they will lose their focus on what this channel is about. Basically they need someone who loves anime but also has specialty in certain field. They can even have an episode of mecha collection or engineer dissects the physics of gundam. Or a chef talking about food war while being passionate about cooking. it's about digging deeper into the content that no one dug before, and the KZbin algorithm will do the work.
@TheRex3093 жыл бұрын
@@coldbattery ..........wonder when Chefpk would be in the podcast...........
@PabzRoz3 жыл бұрын
@@coldbattery What are you talking about? "They will lose their focus on what this channel is about"? That's not what this channel is about. Yes it's obviously anime influenced but they have said time and time again that this is their platform to BS and talk about whatever they wanna talk about. If you haven't noticed half of their episodes so far have nothing to do with anime. Anime is just the one thing they all have in common and love but that doesn't mean they're only going to have anime/ Japan related guests. That would get stale so fast and they even said they want a wide spectrum of guests as well. There is no criteria for the guest to come on this podcast. It's whoever they find interesting and like regardless if they like anime. They have other interests besides anime as well and so do us fans. We're not only fans of the 3 because they make anime content. We like them for their personalities which is why we watch all the podcasts about youtubers, and other topics. If all we wanted was to hear them talk about anime and japan culture we would just watch their channels and if that's all they wanted to talk about then they woulda just made a collab anime channel not a podcast. Just don't get it twisted and think that's what their podcast is about and they will "lose focus" if they steer away from anime. Because that's not the only focus they're going for. As awesome as this guest was it's just as cool if they had a guest like mrbeast or anyone else whos not into anime so they can talk about other topics that relate to them and also see the guests reaction to the culture. In a previous episode Joey specifically said we're not here to only talk about anime, this our platform to BS and talk about whatever we wanna talk about. They're job is anime and Japanese culture, the podcast is a fun project they can let loose with... Don't be that guy.
@tylergriffis50363 жыл бұрын
@@coldbattery That's not why they made this channel wtf? The focus of this podcast is whatever they feel like talking about and whoever they feel like they would like as a guest. Not just anime. If you think they would "lose focus" on what this channel is about then you're a fake fan.
@coldbattery3 жыл бұрын
@@tylergriffis5036 But like I have said, what can they talk with mr beast ? All of their videos are highly related to otaku culture, and that genre remains niche for a reason. Do you really believe big KZbinrs will come to podcast after those hentai episodes ? I know they are trying to talk about random stuff, but after 20 or 24 episodes, it seems like anime is what they are all interested in and familiar with. If they go tangent, do they have the knowledge to back up their statements ? A little example, they laughed at a Japanese guy making reaction video, but turns out that Japanese guy does have the credit. I am not saying they can't talk other topics, I am asking "can" they talk more than anime, but still keep the podcast interesting ?

1:37:00 Big shout out to SBS, I also watched the Eva series on SBS back then. I was 17 just getting into anime in Melbourne. That year SBS also showed the Ghost in The Shell movie and Akira. They kept on doing it too, with the original Blood the last Vampire, Vampire Hunter D, Ninja Scroll, Patlabor, and Voices of a Distant Star. I was from a poor family growing up so we didn't have a VCR, so SBS on a Friday and Saturday night, as well as cheez tv in the morning (Dragon Ball, Salior moon). Then again before I knew what anime was in the 80's ABC used to play episodes of the original Astro Boy in the arvo.
