Ty! Very helpful. I am trying to consolidate all my online storage, and other hard drive storage. I like your tips going forward. While I agree a computer is the best and easiest, I have run out of space to do this. I agree about hard drives not being optimal. I will look at Forever and other online choices.

i have forever and the app upload automatically from my iphone to forever. i love forever storage. I have also Artsian 6 from forever and Historian 6 from forever. do you know much about Historian to store and organize photos in a workflow with Forever photo storage etc... loving your videos...thanks Tania from Australia

Question1, keeping programs narrowed down to primary and secondary (two), recommend an program that can AI image search through all your photos-local or external storage? The search could can be saved (repeated) with a replaceable keyword? Example 1, search folder photos for only pictures that contain a house.. Example 2, search folder for all photos that have (me or someone) in photo.. Question2, for this AI search to work - does it need or use your meta data to give results? Question3, does or can Milo do this AI search? A huge advance thank you for your feedback and knowledge!

Hi James - I do not rely on nor do I teach using programs that use AI. It is a nice feature in Mylio, Apple Photos and Google Photos. AI searching like object recognition and facial recognition does not use photo metadata. But, in some programs like Mylio, I believe you can filter search results by metadata features (like location) as well as object recognition. Hoping this helps a little! Cheers! Mollie

I store my photos on a Network Attached Storage (NAS) with RAID back up, and then back that up to an External Hard drive (just in case). Well that's the (backup) plan. NAS is great, because it just like an extension of your computer, or an external hard drive, accessible from any device on my home network, or from internet.

@@Pixologie The NAS can be your personal cloud. Once I'd set my NAS up, I downloaded my NAS manufacturer's app to my mobile phone and logged in. It can be as simple as a file explorer, or you can set it up as a media server. @@Pixologie just had a friend lose all of her photos in Helene. Currently organizing the digital ones, then after the photo scanner arrives I will start the task of digitizing the decades of the past. That is after we survive Milton : crossing fingers: luckily I’m not in a flood zone. But covering my windows as I speak.

@@Pixologie we are fine, only lost power for 48 hours, lost a ton of food. ☹️ just finished fixing my fence and fence gate that were damaged and the roof was repaired 2 days ago… all back to normal…thanks for caring.

These are supposed to be smart products but it has nothing but a nightmare I say! lol I tried a external Hard drive to go from 2011 Mac Pro to a 2021 Mac Pro. Well These were both Samsung SSD from OWC well something corrupted the new 2021 Mac Pro and I lost Albums in Iphoto and as you know Apple does not warranty software! They could not fix!
