I used to do CrossFit like two years ago I could never do a rope climb. My schedules changed I started working full time again, I continued just lifting at the gym and then eventually bought your anabolic program… I went back to CrossFit today after two years of being gone… and haven’t even tried a rope climb and today I decided to try and I did all the way to the ceiling! It felt like such a feat and proof that I’m getting stronger with your program. Soo much happiness!

Fitness, yes, but also CHORES! My kids learned early on the responsibility of cleaning their rooms, helping me with dusting, vacuuming, dishes, etc. They came home saying how their friends’ houses weren’t as nice (clean) as ours and they were thankful. For stay-at-home moms, this is important to remember that yes, it’s your job, but kids need to learn how to take care of things as well. Many kids these days don’t help out at home at all

Happy I found you guys. I've been on my journey for 3 months and started off at 225Lbs. To kick it off I Started with a detox to cut out all the crap I didn't need like beer, candy highly processed snacks etc. Second phase was fixing my diet intake and add more Whole Foods to the equation. Phase 3 was my deep research into proper forms of exercise. What I started off with was a mix of light weight training 3days a week with dumbbells to build proper form and on off days I was going for a run. Kept this up for about a month. I went from 225 to start down to 208 -204 +/-. I kept noticing my weight fluctuating and it had me stumped. Did some more research and came across your episode on Raw Talk. Opened my eyes to say the least! I was on the verge of going down the wrong path until I came across this info. It's been extremely helpful on my journey and now I can build a path to success. As of recently I've changed up my workouts and focus 90% on strength training and 10% light cardio / walks after meals. Focusing more on a high protein diet with a mix of Whole Foods to target my goal of 190g. Now I'm better equip to meet this head on. Excited to see what the next 3 months will look like. Thanks! 💪🐔

Actually, it's fiber first and then protein, fat and carbs last per the glucose queen. This also stops protein spikes for people who have blood sugar issues and diabetes. This is from a scientist known as the glucose queen.

1:18:55 "Don't be surprised if you gain MORE THAN A POUND OR TWO OF MUSCLE PER WEEK" 🤔 This guy is supposed to be educated on the topic of muscle building, right? Even if you're regaining muscle, there's no way anybody is putting on a pound or two, or more, in a single week. That's literally insane, and tells me that this guy has no idea how fast muscle grows. That amount of pure muscle in that period of time isn't even possible with steroids. You could gain that range of fat in a week if you ate a ton of calories, but muscle is an extremely slow growing tissue. Especially for a guy in his 60s, it's going to move even slower. One to two pounds of pure muscle in even one full month for a man in his 60s would be rare, even for regaining. And this doesn't apply to water weight/water in muscle tissue. I'm talking about building actual muscle tissue, which is muscle gain. It's unbelievable that this guy said 1-2lbs per week, or more. Haha
@closinginonclosureАй бұрын
I'll add that it can take a few weeks or months to build just a pound of muscle tissue, let alone as a guy in his 60s. The regaining does slightly speed up the process, but not by that much, and age is absolutely a huge factor as well.

Yall talk about them literally in essentially every video
@JasonBuckmanАй бұрын
Protein is far more important than carbs.
@compostdaveАй бұрын
@@JasonBuckman obviously, carbs are not essential. But I can eat my protein first and some days end up eating 1300 calories, other days 1500, other days 1100. That's why I eat carbs,first sometimes, so I can actually get a healthy amount of calories
@BanesVeinsАй бұрын
Sal, you're being lazy with the episode topics. Here: do an episode on the rep. Dissect the repetition. Stretch, flex...timing, speed, hold...you could go over what happens on a microscopic level when u do a rep. That's an incredible idea and I've given it to you twice now. Justin's strength tips is a good idea for an episode also. No more repeat stuff for me bro, this is my last time gassing out my thumbs. I'll still open and like your videos. Thanks for all you do.

People need to hear things 7 times before they take action, so I get it. We're already convinced.
@felipearbustopotdАй бұрын
Nah - just eat protein first. lol
@usupoalaeluaableАй бұрын
They’re trying to reach the average American population. And the average American population doesn’t care about what happens at a microscopic level during the rep. They don’t even want to workout to begin with. Eating protein first is more important to know than holding the stretch position of a lift because of the blah blah blah.
@ashdp8485Ай бұрын
Imagine all the whiners asking for timestamps on the mashup? 😂
@retro-1236Ай бұрын
Nope, eat your vegetables and fiber first. Love your channel but sounds like you're running out of topics.. ;) BTW am I the only one that take a bit of protein, a bit of carbs and a bit of fat on every fork I put in my mouth? Just tastes good. I like to enjoy my meals.Eating shouldn't be a punishment. But I track my macros and calories and put everything I gonna eat on my plate, no need to think about what order to eat it.
