Going down 1 towards the end of a note can also be very effective. Especially for, but not limited to wind instruments like flutes. Works very well for longer notes

@ oh for sure, i just wish i knew some of the specifics for the DAW. like, my dumbass has been using Logic for 8 years and i couldn’t tell you how to insert a pitch bend through the piano roll. i always just whip out my midi keyboard and do it like that when i want that fx

@@redwizxrdthere’s a symbol similar to the automation symbol for the whole project (the one at the top), under the list is pitch bend and you can manually apply it to your midi. It looks identical to the other automation

tbh most of this is pretty agnostic stuff except for (unfortunately😢) that pitch slide on samples. idk what the kosher solution is but i throw it in a quick sampler and just pitch it there. the T [tools] key and A [fade] key/W [bend] key are basically uhh... key for this. But automation is the one flaw with lpx unfortunately. Oh and alt+⬆ on the sample will pitch it up too. Make sure to change the way it's handled in flex time to experiemtnt with the "feel" of how the algorithm handles your pitch shifts.

Most of the skills he shows is transferable to most if not all daws. I personally use LMMS, which is free. You may have to go through different menu's and such, but the end result is still pretty much the same
