Tiger has turned down the captaincy this time so that he can be captain in 2027 which is the 100 year anniversary of the Ryder Cup. The venue, Adare Manor is owned by his friend - J P McManus..

I was ecstatic seeing Keegan come through. His 2nd shot into 17…I mean come on!!! Interesting theory. Totally disagree on the premise of PGA Tour using this to keep Keegan. No evidence to support that. There is too much confusion on what product to showcase in regards to LIV vs PGA Tour. So, while Tiger is actively engaged in those negotiations, they needed another person to step in. Keegan got hosed by Zach the bozo so this was a ways to mend things and also Keegan is very popular with the Northeast crowd. Tiger does not want to confuse the negotiations of trying to bring these 2 tours together with the Ryder Cup.

Hats off to Keegan for battling it out to win BMW and best of luck in Atlanta! However, a Ryder Cup team without LIV golfers no matter who the skipper is will be defeated. Tiger was never a team player in the Ryder Cup, Tiger does nothing that doesn’t benefit Tiger, he’s money oriented, and selfish. If the US wants to give us a battle in the Ryder Cup, someone like Keegan is a good choice.

I think you're mindset for your real reason you believe is way off base. You're saying keegan is such a team guy and wants to be on the ryder cup team is true, but that would imply he wouldn't leave for liv. Because he knows for most captains they won't be picking liv guys, just like last year, no liv player was picked. I think it's more of your other opinions, I truly believe tiger will captain the 2027 team going into Europe, 1993 was the last time usa won overseas. I think tiger wants to be the man, the myth, the legend once again, and this is his new route to that

I was the walking scorer for Keegan Bradley's group at the pro am at Riviera CC this year. He was very quiet and kept to himself (least personable pro I've seen in 10 years of volunteering as a scorer). I don't see how he'll do well as the captain/spiritual leader of a team
