wondered how to make a main menu in roblox studio? or how to create a shop which has working GUI? ive made lots of 2024 roblox scripting tutorials about all the different bits of roblox to give you some up-to-date information about all of its properties and events.

you can make portals that you can see through, I'm not sure exactly how it works but its probably something with ViewportFrames overlayed with code to actually move the player through them. making raycasts/shapecasts go through portals is hard (but not impossible, you can detect if one hits a portal object then find the destination portal and make a new cast from it with the same relative position), but if you use physical projectiles or something like FastCast it should be entirely possible to make a game like Splitgate

1:53 well, zelda botw, and totk does that really well too, the tutorial is where you start, and you gotta achieve something before being thrown into the whole world 3:48, that exactly what botw does, it kill the player if they go where he is not supposed to be, if he does not has the paraglider, well, make player lose a heart and get them back to the lsat standing zone the player was

another game that does this well imo is paper mario, specifically the first 2 of course. you can go to the other places if you wanted, they are always there, but you need one of your partners abilities usually to actually enter the area.
