Great point Tristan! We have all been conditioned to dwell on what we don't want. Meanwhile choosing to focus our energy on the good is this only way to make a better world for us all...

I think the way to a better horse world is about people moving towards awareness that the world is made of energy and that every change in ourselves causes the world to change something. Send positive thoughts and actions in the world including to your horse will have an impact. It is not so much about what should be different in the horse world this happens automatically if we open ourselves up to growth and experience more that we are a part of the whole and certainly look with humility at everything and everyone around us without judging.

I like a guy in Wales, Steve young Horsemanship. He is very compassionate to people, and sees his role as helping horses to have a positive experience with people, and helping them survive in this world they are in by teaching us humans to understand how to make horses feel more comfortable and content in their lives. Check him out.

I jist wish people were less toxic. Jist yesterday two grown adukts at my barn made nasry coments towards another rider because she called a fly mask a fly veil instead...and they ridiculed her and doubted her experience. So many people in this business are so intent on being seen as better than everyone else that it ruins it for so many other people. We should be sharing knowledge and support each other to do better for our horses....

I still *want* to believe this, but some of us have been “focus on showing good examples” for more than 20 years and not only have seen ZERO improvement in equestrian sport, but thing have only gotten worse. I don’t know if this video / message of yours here (which I love) will age well in light of the recent Operation X footage. 😔 I’ve been involved with horses more than 50 years, and I no longer believe “demonstrate what is good/possible” can ever create meaningful change in the face of conventional equestrian sport culture. I still believe humane sports are possible, but I no longer believe real reform in dressage, reining, etc. can ever happen… and listening to professionals virtue signal about Helgestrand by saying “we just need to educate riders” is just gaslighting what we all see and know.
