The 1 Tip to Improve Your Communication Skills at Work

📡 Everyone knows that "communications" is an essential soft skill, but what exactly does that actually mean, and how does one get better at it? In this video I share the 1 tip to improve your communication skills at work in order to help you build credibility with clients, peers, and managers.
Multiple studies have shown time and time again that employers value communication skills in their workforce - be it new or experienced hires - since there are real consequences if communications break down in corporate environments.
In this video I share a realistic situation that most, if not all, working professionals would face at work, and what a strong communicator would do in that situation. The Bottom Line Up Front method is used by management consultants and product marketers alike and now it goes by many other names, like Top Down Communication and The Pyramid Principle.

I used to say this to my team mates. If you write an email with roughly 20000 words, people cannot read and going forward, they can think that when they get time, they can read the email. Absolutely love your content, but what struck me most is that you offer a sneak peek into the topic before asking for likes and subscriptions. That's a great way to appreciate the viewers' time. Thanks for the great video. I'm very enthusiastic about the system of structuring emails in such a way that the most important information is directly visible. I've been working for a city government for a few months and I'm digging through pages of emails where the context is hidden and no one can figure out who should do what now. Recently I've been writing my emails using the new system and the feedback has been amazing. Departments respond faster and more purposefully and I have already been able to convey my new system to several colleagues. In addition to the Zero Inbox, the new form of email writing is something that has greatly improved my everyday work. I still fiddle with myself here and there and figure out how to apply the concept to some emails, but the majority of emails where I want something from someone else are structured this way.

Hi Jeff, It's more learning how to learn efficiently. I thought that since you have a good position in your career and your knowledge, that you demonstrate in your previous videos, of every shortcuts and Google products, you probably knew a thing or two about learning or retaining things more efficiently. Again a nice video! Loving your videos so far. I’m a student and start to using Google Gmail and Calendars efficiently. What’s about taking notes or be proactive on mobile? Are you using those apps on the mobile too? I’m a lot of my time on mobile or using mobile apps of their products…

I try not to use the mobile apps too much because I'm more efficient on a laptop
