Trust this man! Im back on working again since august with almost zero symptoms even with 10k Steps every day. Even reintroduced the gym with 1x a week up to 4x a week and you know what, I felt better afterwards not worse. It takes time to recover and even when you think you are almost recovered, there are still situations triggering some symptoms but when you react well, they dont last long. It 100% works!

Really needed to hear this! I had been doing so well but then got Covid again and having the biggest set back I’ve had on this journey. I suppose I can look at this the same way as your trip to Hawaii, I know having a virus is really hard on the body, similar to how a bunch of hiking in Hawaii would be. Covid was what caused my first massive crash after decades of chronic stress back in 2020. I keep getting upset that I’m back to the beginning and it’s going to take me years to get out of it and then going into fear over that. Needed the reassurance that I can get out of the mess faster this time cuz I know what to do.

Wow this resonated with me big time! I’m coming out of a 3 month adjustment period after being back to 80-90% in the fall of 2023. At the time my mind instantly went to regression in recovery and as of late I’ve shifted that mindset to this is apart of the process and recovery, sure enough the symptoms are lifting and energy is returning. Always well said, Miguel. Appreciating what you do!

Just found your channel a few days ago. I realized I catastrophize over my ibs. One ibs session and I tell myself ill have it all day and my day is ruined. And thats what often happens. This morning i took your advise and didn't overreact to the ibs. And i haven't had it again today, i even went to the store. Definitely going to keep practicing this. I say "whatever, if i have ibs it's going to be okay. But maybe I won't." Calm, collected 😊

This is a message we all need to hear daily!! What we focus on is what we get more of. Even when we make huge progress it is easy to focus on what's still wrong. Thank you Miguel for these videos, and for your generosity in helping people. They are like free coaching sessions! The people in the dysregulated state might just complain that the program cost is so high, rather than be thankful for all the free content you provide us. But that is because they are still only seeing "what's wrong" while saying they are rewiring. Becoming aware of these mindset patterns is huge and is needed to progress. Over 1000 videos!!! SO grateful!!! Thank you for persisting even when your audience is full of dysregulated people, very brave of you! 🌟

I find that repeating the message and principles is very suitable since people with cfs tend to forget these things and go back to the familiar thought pattern. Constantly reminding them to respond well is very important, for this sickness often lasts for a long time.

I myself have and am still working thru anxiety/depression. Most of mine came after i quit alcohol after daily overconsumption for roughly 15 years. I was sober for about 2 years and then relapsed for about a hear and a half. Needless to say a lot of the symptoms that I had the first time around came back just not as intense but still difficult to go through. I definitely agree that your mindset is a key to moving forward. It is definitely like a wave, there will be peaks and valleys but as time goes on those peaks and valleys get further apart and less severe. Just like dropping a rock in water, the closer the waves are from the center the bigger the distance between the peaks and valleys but the further they go the more they diminish. I remind myself frequently of what I learned the first time around to help get me through those days of increased anxiety and depression. If your watching these videos and reading the words of encouragement in the comments then you are defiantly on the right track. I wish nothing but the best for each and every one of you out there that are going through this... best wishes to u all.

I want to throw something else your way, I noticed women online posting about internal tremors in menopause, it appears to be quite common, also anxiety, nervous system flare ups, tbh they are describing CFS?? I have hit menopause very suddenly 3 months ago, although I had body buzzing for 3 years now, I just found it very interesting researching these symptoms, I am a medically trained person so I can see these things in a logical way, this keeps my emotions relaxed, also I feel it very facinating what role the hormones are involved and the difference in ages, sex and lifestyle prior to massive attacks starting, Im starting to see patterns and cross overs. It seems doctors want to clip that tag on us all, fibro, inner ear issues, its just menopause, its your thyroid, its autoimmune, its just your EDS, its just, its just, its just, Im thinking of having a tee shirt printed of ITS JUST lol I given up on doctors, so thanks for all the supported positivity, you really are stand alone on this, to feel listened to is such a powerful recovery tool

You want to know what I do with flares ? If I'm tiered I'll recharge with a short nap. Or my favourite thing to do with a flare is get active with something I enjoy , really focus on it and it sucks the energy from the flare and places it into my focused activity. Result.... No more flare ! . Takes practice but gets better and easier with time. The only problem is I rarely chill out until bed time ! 😁

Hi there! It's important to listen to your body and find a balance. If you can manage some social activities without worsening symptoms, it might be beneficial for your well-being. But always prioritize self-care and know your limits. ❤️

Hey Miguel, many people with these syndromes are now claiming disability benefits and have been for many years. They have become used to living a life style of not working and receiving income from the benefits system. If these people fully recover they should sign off benefits and return to work. . This in it self is a scary thought and requires huge lifestyle changes, after so many years sick. Let alone more stress on the N S. These thoughts alone can keep symptoms continuing, to protect the individual from losing the benefits life style. Your thoughts on defeating this dilemma ?.
@elle_kay11
@elle_kay11 5 ай бұрын
Totally! I think a lot of people have subconscious fears around losing their disability benefits, potentially relapsing and then having to go through the whole extensive process of trying to get them again, because they were very challenging/stressful to get approved for in the 1st place! It is a subconscious fear that keeps many stuck in what they feel is "safety," even though they're unwell. It's important to remember that the brain state changes as we recover, so things won't appear as big or scary.
@cfsrecovery
@cfsrecovery 5 ай бұрын
Absolutely, you hit the nail on the head with this. This is definitely not the case for all situations but I’ve seen this many times. I have a video that dives deeper into this called “ fear of recovery”, and I talk about how the responsibility that comes with living a normal life can be intimidating for people which can also keep them stuck.
