I appreciate that this is by far the most honest review of these I've seen so far. Enough time has passed that the hype has kind of died down and you're able to mention that it's not much of a step up from a regular Jordan 1 in terms of quality and build or even presentation and the price is primarily driven by hype I think even the retail price is only justified by the hype.

That is really not how it works. `you could probably get a pair of shoes for 500 minimum, if it was factory made and the designer was barely payed. `this shoe is handmade, so for each shoe an artisan needs to be payed to stitch each one the exact same way each time. Is it worth 2k, yes, but is it worth 12k, yeah no not at all. `but to say it is worth 2 dollars and only costs a lot because of the DIOR logo is so wrong its funny. Some guy literally ran them mud and compessed them with heavy machinery and it was barely damaged. For the 2 dollars it apparently cost, thats impressive.

a sneaker is worth the price of a car only beacause of the exclusivity that it is 1 of only x made worldwide . And the materials donot cost even 200$ to make true . But you''re paying for the fact that you own something not everyone has , neither can everyone afford . Let me take the example of autograph . An autograph prolly takes 30 cents to make ... just a pen and paper but it is sold for thousands of dollars only because of the fact that it is exclusive and not everyone can get that easily . It is 1 of 200 autographs worldwide given by that celeb . You are paying for the exclusivity ... Understood ???

What I would do is find something like a brightly coloured scrap of felt or some other kinda thick cloth, and when closing the box, stuff it under the flap where the magnet is, to slightly reduce the strength of the magnets hold and also give you a quick visual clue about which side opens.

This may be an unpopular opinion but i hate high fashion collaborating with sneakers. Sneakers are supposed to represent the street culture and tell stories. Brands like Dior or Gucci collabing with Jordan or Adidas for example are just cashing in on already popular models, charging way more than they should just for having their little brand on them. With it being hand made in Italy and they way Dior with throw out tons of leather to find the perfect cut for there items. The labor it takes to hand make a shoe like this and they only use the top leather worker in county atleast getting payed $40hr and the shoes taking atleast 5 hours to make on top of the materials, I would say together it probably costed them $400 to make the shoe and the accessories. Still 100% over priced

@SethFowler Are you absolutely, 100% positive they're real? Because to my knowledge the wings logo is not supposed to be glossy, it is supposed to be matte. I have a high end fake pair and they have glossy wings logos, it was literally the first thing I noticed when I opened the box. The wings logos also look slightly too small on your pair compared to others I've seen. This isn't a joke or a meme, legitimately you should get someone who seriously knows their shit to look at these.
