You are very good at giving info in a concise & easy-to-understand manner, whether it be in demos or lessons. You introduce them with a quick beginning that gives a basic outline of what you're about to cover, without wasting time, you don't digress, and your speaking style is also very professional. I could easily imagine you giving a Ted Talk, or a lecture at a college. And you also seem to anticipate covering the types of questions people would most likely have, by stating, at the outset, certain specifics related to the video. Nicely done, Cooper! Having had a ‘67 Band-Master and a TriAxis on hand for forever now, I appreciate the other cleans on tap (in the Fractal units) without a lot of fuss. To your pedal platform point, I wish I understood the magic of the Bandmaster better, thirty years ago! Only later did I throw a Rat in front of it and have one of those “whoa” moments. It’s a James Valentine. Single coil in the bridge, humbucker in the neck. Although it doesn’t look like it, it’s a tele variation.

Great sound! Unfortunately, the presets (e.g. Petrucci Rig) in Fractal FX III purchased in April 2023 do not include USA Clean and settings like yours, which is why they sound terrible.

Sounds pretty good - for a youtube clip. Excellent playing - great variety of cleans. Warm Summer Showers & Ice Crystals are gorgeous - well, pretty well everything is actually. Could you please share your signal path - outside of the Axe-Fx that is? Especially, what comes between the Axe-Fx and our ears?

Nothing between the Axe and your ears but your speakers and air. This is 100% Axe-Fx III USB direct audio into REAPER.

Very very helpful, thanks Cooper! Btw folks the preset numbering has changed by one in the latest release (so e.g. Bad Commander is now 072). Does anyone know how to get Paul David's clean tone on the Axe FX III? (See kzbin.info/www/bejne/hHOugnimgpiBgJY) He uses "Ice Crystal" overtones on the wet part of the delay, plus reverb, and it's a great clean tone. The Axe FX III doesn't have that effect in the delay so it looks like I have to add a pitch block? But then how to apply the pitch shift to just the wet signal? Thanks!
