What about ZCO, Tangent Theta, Kahles, Vortex, Zeiss, Leupold and Nightforce?

For most shooters, Tangent Theta and ZCO are out of the Price range for the average shooters. Most guys start out in the factory division. Optics can't retail more than $2500, and rifles can't retail for more than $3000. The rifle can't be modified. With that being said, optics like Leupold, Night Force, and Vortex offer products for the factory rifle division.

Truth be told with most of these brands they are difficult to find unless you shop online. They are more obscure brands with the exception of Vortex PST. My issue is aftermarket support and customer service. Brands like Riton, Discovery and Tract are not available at your local shop. Arkan is starting to gain traction, I think for an entry-level optic, Arkan may be a brand to get.. IOR is a Romanian brand. They are excellent, however still difficult to find and obtain, they have to be specially ordered. Same with US optics. Both said brands are exceptional optics. If you are starting out in this sport or hobby, I'd run an optic that's easier to obtain through a more reputable and mainstream brand and manufacturer. Ergo, Leupold, Night Force, Zeiss and Trijicon, Steiner, and yes, Vortex. Each of those manufacturers offer proven products that said manufacturers stand by their products. Said manufacturers offer excellent customer service and warranty. I think brands like Schmidt & Bender, Kahles, Zero Compromise, and Tangent Theta are way out of the price range of someone starting out. In my opinion are for more advanced shooters who compete for money and take this sport more seriously.
