The second Supreme Commander game, subtitled Forged Alliance, was actually just a better-balanced and more developed version. It came out in 2007 and I still play it occasionally today. One of the best ever!

@@istinokThat’s no problem, it’s very hard to truly understand an rts game, unless you have spent a lot of time playing. Some of the unique aspects of this game, over other rts games is the random map generator every game. Which is mirrored, to make it balanced. Adapting to the map with how you build and strategy used is very important. The other unique thing about this game, is that everyone starts off with the same race at the start. Which is the stone age. You progress by choosing asia or europe. Then the next progression is east or west Asia/Europe. And then the industrial countries. The game has high level gameplay whether 1v1 or 8v8. Currently I’m casting an 8v8 tournament. The large team games can be very complex. So it’s recommended for people who are starting off to play 1v1 to learn the game quicker.

@@istinok No, it's not. Strategy has to do with resource / empire management and deployment. Tactics has to do with combat formations and execution. In TW titles, the former is turn based. Total war does not belong in the genre. Great games though.
