About Subnautica:
Subnautica is an open world survival game in development by Unknown Worlds Entertainment.
Subnautica allows the player to explore an aquatic alien planet by scuba diving and traveling in ,
while collecting resources and food to survive. It was released on Steam Early Access on December 16, 2014.
The Xbox release was in August 2016.
The player controls in first-person view the lone survivor of a crashed ship on an aquatic planet.
The main objective of the player is to explore the open world environment and survive the dangers of the planet, while also continuing the story.
Subnautica allows the player to collect resources, construct tools, bases, and submersibles, and interact with the planet's wildlife.
Players must keep themselves adequately hydrated and fed, and must also maintain their oxygen supply while traversing underwater.
They disvocer remnants of the Precursors, an anchient alien species, that used to live on the planet, massive structures and recieve mysterious signals by a strange entity.
The development team opted to use the Unity engine rather than Spark, the engine used for the company's previous game,
Natural Selection 2. Subnautica producer Hugh Jeremy justified this decision because of the different demands that the game places on the engine,
and "because [the team] does not include people working on Spark, it's not appropriate for Subnautica to use Spark. By using Unity for Subnautica,
Spark can continue to develop in certain directions, while Subnautica develops in others. To use Spark for Subnautica would be to try and square peg a round hole."
Subnautica was released on Steam Early Access on December 16, 2014.
Subnautica was originally planned to be released on Xbox One on April 1, 2016, but was ultimately delayed by another month

I would love it if somebody made a mod that let you customize the alien containment unit. It's difficult to theme an aquarium around a dead, rocky biome like the lost river or the lava zone when the bottom of the tank looks like a tropical reef

There is a mod for the alien containment now, you need certain plants for eggs to hatch, certain creatures like amp eels can actually power your base as well. There are more features I cannot remember as well. It can be found in nexus mods just search for alien containment mod

I feel like one of the best mods that you forgot to mention is the deathrun mod, it allows you to turn on and off a bunch of options that make the game much more difficult, such as unbreathable surface air, dying to the explosion of the Aurora, very aggressive creatures and decompression sickness to name a few.

Hey aci, I'd like to ask you what you think of a void DLC me and some others are designing, it is in the void, but we actually have a good storyline, a reason why there is nothing in the void and even why leviathans stop following you at a certain point in the void, also Levi and non Levi concepts, and maybe a new reaper variant (Apart from the scrapped from below zero)

To be honest Maps are the one thing that help you Orient yourself in games. Zelda BOTW, Shadow of Mordor are two of my favorite games and they had flawless maps and greeat Fast travel too

I feel like they should add mods as a seperate menu like Bethesda does for their games now. I play on switch and would LOVE these. I play their Doom games and such and they all have addons or mods contributed by the community. I would totally get back into Sub and Below zero if they implemented this.

Hi Aci. I just got a VERY nice challenge for a Subnautica Below Zero Walktrough. Or just for one time playing. Please tell me if this is possible. (There are two versions) Version 1: Everything is normal, but when you build a base, you are only allowed to use the CONTROL ROOM and the SCANNER ROOM Version 2: Exactly like Version 1, but you are allowed to build ONE single MOONPOOL (if there are words spelled wrong, then please ignore them) (If you want you can test it, but you dont need it)
