The 10 BIGGEST Travel MISTAKES I've Made, so you won't!
Check out my travel vlogs: goo.gl/NbHJ87
- - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Over the past few years I've found myself averaging anywhere from 2-4 flights a month. That's more than the typical American. I am lucky that I get to create my own schedule, and skip off to a new adventure whenever I please- here are the 10 travel mistakes that I've made so that you are aware of them and don't make them. Some of these are rookie travel mistakes that may seem obvious, and some of these are more personal to my perspective on traveling and how to have a fulfilling trip. I hope these help you in your travels!

My Millennial Life Crisis was started 3 years ago when I was stuck in a rut creatively, career wise, and personally. I didn't know what I wanted to do with my life, I wasn't happy with where I was living, and I didn't feel like I had much of a support system. That is how the Millennial Life Crisis series was born. It was a way for me to let go of my feelings and document my personal growth. Along the way I have found that a lot of you have related with this feeling, that is why I keep vlogging. From now on you can expect weekly Millennial Life Crisis episodes about my life, growing up, career growth, trying new things, friendships, relationships, family, and travels.

I just got to Nashville after taking two flights to get here. I got the email about checking in early thinking, “I don’t see why people check in early? I’ll wait to get the airport and just check in”....guess where I sat. In the middle on both flights, so now I know. Definitely won’t make that mistake again!

See? I don't get why people were giving you dirty looks for being "late" to a flight that decided to board early. It's literally not your fault. It's the airline's fault.

Sometimes airports can be SO stressful I agree! But the more you do it, the easier it becomes. You start to understand that most airports are the same. My biggest advice is to ask the people that work there! If you are nice to them, they are usually kind and gracious back :)

1. Black suitcases get dirty easily and very noticeable 😬.. AVOID 2 Don't book window seats if traveling alone because it's awkward when you need to use the toilet. 3. Book aisle seats in 3rd/4th row so you get food served 'earlier' by crew. 1st row you'll be surrounded most of the time by screaming babies😥. Plus you can exit the plane faster. 4. As soon as you board the plane go to the toilet, empty your bladder etc while everyone in settling down. The toilets are still clean. 5. Always carry an extra shirt/t-shirt in hand luggage.

For mistake 3: Try finding something like stickers (that stay on) or a piece of cloth that perhaps has a pattern. Put it on your bag and it will make it easier. If you place stickers (i havent done that before) I would recommend to put one on every side so you can see from every side on the suitcase where it is. Or put a nametag and phone number. You can find sticky paper which sticks on a side and another which is paper. Coloured bags may also have a chance of getting stolen since they’re unique and people usually go for the “cool” things. I have used a tag you can buy in a shop (though other people may also use a tag so i wouldnt really recommend). So either do this: 1. Buy a piece of cloth to wrap around the suitcase handle. 2. Put a recognisable sticker (on each side to make it easier) on the suitcase. 3. Look on your suitcase to see if there is a place where you can put name and phone number. 4. Buy a tag from a shop(Not highly recommended especially when going from home to your destination since others can have the same Hope you see this.

planes cannot board early. Even if everyone is checked in, the boarding time is binding and cannot be moved earlier. What happened to you was either an anomaly, or you got it wrong and got late for boarding. In fact. If you were at the gate at the time written on your boarding pass and the plane was already gone without you, you are entitled to refunds and everything else.
