Are there any lesser known frame traps I should be going for? I've been struggling to find what feel like consistent frame traps besides 2k/5k to 6h or when im plus 4 go for 2p. I feel too flow charty as of late so any new ideas to play with would be very much appreciated as always!

Hey, Kinetic Orochi, thanks for all of your videos on Ky! They've been really helpful! Do you mind if I ask you a question of Vapor Thrust? I tend to always do the input while pressing Heavy Slash, but you can do it with either Slash or Heavy Slash. Do you know if there's any situations where picking between the two options is something to keep in mind? Because I struggle to see when the slash variation would be a better choice unless I'm planning to whiff with it for some reason (and obviously I'm never planning to whiff it lol)

It has a bit faster startup so the most benefit imo is on wake up if the opponent doesnt time their throw right youll get them whereas the heavy slash is more likely to get grabbed out of. Its also useful in certain combos. But yeah bro other than that i think using heavy vp is the way to go 🙌

@@KineticOrochi Thanks for the input! I definitely felt like the slash version of VT was much more situational, but I'm glad asked in case there was something I was overlooking about it. Definitely a good idea to be more knowledgeable about your tools!

I use the Slash version if I don't think I have enough time to connect with the Heavy Slash version on a wallsplat. For example, if I wallsplat with HS Vapor Thrust, I usually don't have time to break the wall with another HS Vapor Thrust because they'll unstick before Ky lands and can hit them with another. In these situations I use S Vapor Thrust, which is just fast enough to hit them.

Hey I decided to pick up Ky, and I love your content. Are his combos on your channel still current with the new update or have they changed?

Hey bro so heres the thing they still work with the update and these are the combos I use when I play online and I do fine can still get Celestial. There are slightly more optimized version with the update specifically run cancel combos and a dust combo that does more damage but I have not labbed them just know they exist because ive seen them. So even if you eventually want to learn the new ones the combos from the video will lay the foundation for the combo routes. Hope this helps bro and thank you for the support 🙌

Yes your opponent mashing grab. Try to space it more and youll get a counter hit if you too close you can cancel 5k into jump 👍

I really struggle to land that c.S after 623H to wall stick (tips 3), do you any tips to time it well ?

On heavy characters you have to use 5h instead of 6h before vapor thrust. If the issue is with medium or small characters make sure your charged stun edge and 6h hit a bit high so vapor thrust hits them higher and make the c.s. easier to time. Hope this helps bro 👍

I mean, it also depends on skill and consistency but personally I can go about floor 9 with many characters not knowing the frame traps, anti airs, most combos and most of the stuff he showed for Ky in this video. All these need to be backed up with strong fundamentals, none can tell you "just DP and RC and you will get to celestial without knowing how to anti-air at all" (except if you play Ram).
