The only thing he screwed up was giving a two hour speech in a cold weather. 3 weeks later, he subsequently caught a cold after he was walking in the rainstorm. For the last 9 days of his presidency and his life, he was struggling to fight for his own life against typhoid fever and pneumonia until he died on April 4, 1841, one month after his inauguration.

I do believe Grant is held to an unfair standard. He’s compared too much to Lincoln despite they were presidents during very different times. Being a president during a war vs after a war are very different things and they had their own difficulties. The majority of the faults that came within Grant’s presidency came from his cabinet and those in Congress; not Grant himself. He did everything he could to hold the country together and because reconstruction ended with him, he’s regarded as failure. Grant deserves more credit and truly was not that bad of a president.

I agree. Grant's biggest mistake, from what I understand, was surrounding himself with the wrong people. The other big mistake he made was with the currency. People of that day did not understand monetary policy, as one could argue today too, and this created some chaos trying to return to a better standard from the "Greenback" days that somehow were still around.

If Zackary Taylor wasn't so sickly, he could have been, and appeared to be positioning himself to be a great president. Thoughtful and deliberate in his actions and cabinet selection, as well as going out of his way to understand the issues of the country first hand instead of acting on emotion and the will of his party alone. He gave it a fair, albeit slow effort, its shame he died so soon. He could have been one of the greats, having been given the chance.

Taylor was definitely a good choice for the Whigs. Had Taylor been anything like Eisenhower (both were generals and had no political experience) I could definitely see Taylor being one of the greats. In fact, I feel that Henry Clay and Winfield Scott (losing Whig candidates) would’ve been fine Presidents as well.

Listing Grant, Taylor and Harrison is a mistake. Go deep into history and you'll learn that Grant was really effective. The only wrong thing he did was trusting people around him. Also, you can remove Nixon because he wasn't least effective (not forgetting the direct corruption), and Taylor and Harrison died literally less than 1 year in term. Also, even though I'd not like to say this, add Jimmy Carter too. He comes in least effective list, but is a good guy overall. Also, to everyone asking for Trump, Clinton, Biden and Obama and Bush. Please keep modern politics aside. The long term effect still has to occur. Like TR's open hands with Britain had a really good long effect, same with Lincoln when he abolished slavery (sadly Andrew Johnson and Ruthafraud Hayes completely destroyed reconstruction)

Yes, Grant was effective as a Military Leader. But that blinded him to how "politics" work. You can Not issue "orders" and expect politicians to "obey". Not his own, but of those whom he did not know how to lead, direct, and reign in. Notice how Eisenhower was also a Military Leader. Why was he so much more effective as President? He botched climate control because he sternly represents the type to convince you it's a hoax. Donald Trump remains in such a state of denial that he unjustly believes he's more intelligent than those who devoted their lives to science. He genuinely thinks he won a debate in which the floor was polished with him because he's that immature. People who praise him believe people like Tom Hanks and Clint Eastwood are blood-sucking baby murdering human traffickers. He sabotaged peace talks between LBJ and the leader of North Vietnam, illegal wiretapping, war on drugs, and watergate. Not a lot of good things happened such as the bombing of Cambodia that led to the Kent State shooting. Don’t get me wrong. Nixon did several good things and he is quite intelligent. He had some accomplishments such as opening relations with China, creation of EPA, and easing tensions with the USSR. But when it comes to his true nature, he was a crook. His paranoid behavior is one of the obvious reasons why some people hated Nixon. On the other hand, William Henry Harrison was a very stupid old man in being out in the rainstorm on his third week as president and it caused him to catch a cold that turned into a severe case of pneumonia and typhoid fever. I don’t think Nixon really belongs on this list he had quite a few good accomplishments I can think of others who fit the list much better than here that would be Obama his bungling presidency is still sending out reverberations of pain and discord throughout the country. You could say Nixon made some real stupid mistakes on how he handled Watergate but compared to some of the things we see now that was really not much of a deal at all.

Besides that, at least from what I remember, Trump's IQ was never released, so I have no idea what you are talking about. Trump was somewhat effective at completing his campaign promises, with many, many presidents that were much less successful in completing their promises, so I don't see a single reason he would be on this list besides personal bias.
