For this list, we’ll be both cowering in fear and standing in awe of some of the most horrific dragons in all of gaming that cooked our goose more than once. In this video, for honor and glory, we’ll attempt to take on the likes of King Gleeok in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, The Archdemon in Dragon Age: Origins, Yiazmat of Final Fantasy XII and many more. Firkraag from Baldurs Gatw 2. He is ridiculously powerfu, buffing himself with immunity to magic weapons, having innate magic resistance, and spewing huge fireballs. It is well advised to steer clear from him until you have returned from Spellhold at high enough level to spit at least 3 "lower magic resistance" at him before you can actually start do some damaging magic , and of course any gear that reduces fire damage is welcome...

I'm surprised you didn't mention the Destroyer from Darksiders. Not only was the boss impressive, but one also had to fight it on horseback, which further emphasised the epic greatness of this final boss battle.

Despite being a series more based around patience and tactics, Fire Emblem had some pretty intimidating dragon bosses. Grima from Awakening, Duma from Echoes: Shadows of Valentia, and Rhea - Silver Snow version from Three Houses. They're all powerful, have a solid army to back themselves up, and have unique and devastating attributes: Grima needs to be defeated in one turn or else he completely heals, Duma has the affect all Upheaval spell, and Rhea has a ridiculously strong and ranged AOE attack. These are some rather intimidating dragons of you ask me. Recklessness with your units will get them killed before you can say "Pick a god and pray!"

Fatalis was easy to handle once you memorized his attacks. Alatreon on the other hand was an absolute bastard. Not only were his attacks both massive in AOE and damage, but they were constant with barely any window to attack when he isn’t running or flying out of reach. Not to mention the obnoxious elemental aspects of the fight, or the mega “f you” that kills you in one hit.

Of all the dragons I faced on this list Darkeater Midir still pisses me off the most. By the time I actually beat him I'd gotten the hang of the encounter so well that it's practically a cakewalk at this point but in that first encounter I nearly beat him, he had a sliver of health left, and then smacked like 2/3 of my health away with something I wasn't ready for. I was so frustrated though that the next 5 or 6 attempts was me either getting decimated or only coming half as close. I had to take a few days off before I came back and beat him.

The most difficult part about the third phase is trying to NOT shoot his fireballs, because that just makes them shatter into more projectiles. If you're not using the Lobber (which feels almost custom-tailored for this fight specifically), you're in for a rough time.

I think Nintendo got inspiration from King Ghidorah from Toho, for the King Gleeoks in Tears of the Kingdom, minus that they have' four limbs, and wings on their backs, whereas Ghidorah has only two legs, and two wings in the place of the front legs.

I never beat fatalis because I only played solo and based on the previous fights that wanted you to us multiple people like alatreon and safi’jiva i didn’t even bother trying it.

You definitely can beat fatalis solo. He is just really hard. But you definitely can do it solo. In fact, even alatreon can be done solo. Hell, he even easier solo since you can die to 2 of his nuke and still kill him, while the first nuke would just wipe the whole party in multi-player. But safi'jiva tho, yeah he is definitely multi-player only monster. You technically can solo him, in 6 hours, not really something a sane person would do.

I recently managed to Solo Fatalis with a LS and am have already more or less mastered soloing Alatreon with a GS. 2 of the craziest/hardest bosses in gaming and rewarding as goddamn hell when I first managed to beat them in a party & solo

The lore behind Fatalis is that it's so powerful it can destroy an entire village on its own and even the highest ranking monsters hunters are afraid of it.

Anybody that has played Monster hunter knows that the top 3 spots should have been Monster Hunter monsters we got Fatalis at number one, But there cases to be made for Alatreon and Lao-Shan Lung. And top 3 is being generous. Like I love Zelda games, but there isn't any excuse for Gleeok being here.

Have never even SEEN the Avalanche Abaasy from Xenoblade Chronicles!? Level 120 when you cap at 99, multiple buffs that can end the battle in seconds, and unless you equip certain gems, just touching it will instantly kill you!

Some of my personal favorites: - Maleficent, _Kingdom Hearts 1_ - Maleficent's reputation as a top-tier animated Disney villain precedes her, and this battle lives up to _all_ that hype. The room you fight her in feels small given her size, and you can ONLY strike her in the face (anywhere else will just deflect). - Any random Dragon encounter, _Skyrim_ - There's a good reason the first two mandatory Dragon fights in the game's Main Quest give you NPC allies: because depending on your character's Level, equipment, and overall Skills, you likely just _can not_ face one of these solo yet.

As soon as I read the title of the video, I shouted "Yiazmat!" He's gotta be near the top of the list in terms of HP - I can only think of one bigger: Freya, Star Ocean 3. 20M hitpoints on Universe (Hard) difficulty or below, and 60M on 4D (Hardest) difficulty.

Not exactly the most intimidating, but the Icewyrm when he and Windwyrm tagteam you in Granblue Fantasy Relink. Icewyrm loves to freeze you at the worst possible moments and Windwyrm will summon tornados to push you around. Firewyrm and Earthwyrm arent so bad even when they work together but their brothers were something else. Bahamut looks more fierce and intimidating but once you get the hang of the fight it becomes easier. Just the grind to get Terminus weapons is a pain. Then there's the other Bahamut, Bahamut Versa... in story mode hes manageable. In the first Proud mission you face him, he's upped his game but still manageable. And then there's Dark Swordsman's Nightmare... he is a pain and has the Shadow Ids on his side as minions. I detest this mission so much and it was the mission that made me truly invest in more than just my core 2 characters (Lancelot and Sandalphon). Hell's Flare is the bane of my existence... All of those dragons are from Granblue Fantasy Relink.

King Gleeocks aren't the problem. It's the fact the game makes you FARM them to fully upgrade your outfits that's the problem... No Maleficent from "Kingdom Hearts"? I still haven't figured out a way to beat that one without getting my butt handed to me. Then the game makes you fight Possessed Riku one-on-one right after that...

Ultra Necrozma from Ultra Sun and Moon. The first time you face Necrozma in USUM is at the Altar of the Sunne/Moone, where it has merged with Solgaleo or Lunala and become Dusk Mane or Dawn Wing Necrozma, but gains Solgaleo or Lunala’s weaknesses but has its Ability Prism Armor which reduces its supereffective weaknesses. Then you get to Megalo Tower, and Necrozma becomes the Psychic/Dragon-Type Ultra Necrozma. Be prepared for a massive difficulty spike, as Ultra Necrozma is Level 60, has a Moveset of three Special Moves in Power Gem, Dragon Pulse, its new signature move Photon Geyser, and a Physical Move in Smart Strike, an Aura that increases all of its stats by 1 stage, and its signature Ability Neuroforce, which powers up its supereffective moves even further. Bug, Ice, Dragon and Fairy types are going to go down in one hit, no matter how much special or physical defense they have. Granted, there are ways to cheese Ultra Necrozma, but it’s a massive difficulty spike. Or heck, Giratina from Legends Arceus, specifically when it is part of Volo’s team. You thought Greevil from XD or Ghetsis from Black 2 and White 2 was bad? Volo is worse. His team is similar to Cynthia’s Platinum team, but with Hisuian Arcanine replacing Milotic. But then he sends out Giratina. You then defeat Giratina, and you are happy. Then you see Giratina change into its Origin Form. Be prepared for a world of hurt because Origin Form Giratina is powerful! And the thing is, you have to beat Volo in one go, because if you lose against Volo at any point, you got to do the whole fight all over again.

I remember Ultra Necrozma all too well. I was doing a mono Dragon playthrough of Ultra Moon and oh boy was that the hardest battle. I had 1 non-dragon on my team (shiny Sceptile given to me by a friend) but due to level and it was a trade mon it didn't listen. That battle it came down to Yamato (sceptile) vs Ultra and for once the game decided to give me a break with my sceptile. The one and only time it listened to me. Kept toughing out hits so "I wouldn't be sad". As for Volo, I was a bit overleveled for the game so I didn't find him too hard. Overleveled Typhlosion tore apart his team and Giratina, both phases. I can where it would be a challenge though if it hadn't been for being so over leveled.

@@vergilnoivern8024 How ironic that two of the more recent Pokemon video games that are meant to be easy have massive difficulty spikes in them. And yes, I know Giratina in the final fight against Volo is in the postgame, so it’s going to be difficult, but what is Ultra Necrozma’s excuse for being a massive difficulty spike? And the final fight against Necrozma in USUM is ironically the easiest fight in the game, because all you need to do to win canonically is catch it. And Necrozma has a Catch Rate of 255 on Mount Lanakila. Necrozma is so weak in the final fight against it that it wants to be caught by the player. But at least they made a Pokemon that showed up at the end of the Ultra Beast Sidequest in the original Sun and Moon and had no relation to the Ultra Beasts, even though the anime made Necrozma somewhat related to the Ultra Beasts, into the first actual Pokemon villain that is both threatening and sympathetic.

not in battle, because gameplay limitations, but in old school PS1 cutscenes. the Divine Dragon from Legend of Dragoon. when it attacks Deningrad. the camera shifts to run along its neck as it charges the cannon attack, combined with how much of a curve it has makes it seem the neck and tail alone are a mile long each. i may be completely off base with that estimate, but i still find it fascinating to imagine what it'd be like to see him up close

Bonetail: Paper Mario the thousand year door. This skeleton dragon is faced at the 100th floor of the pit of 100 trials and is the most powerful of the three dragons in the game. With a massive 200 health and attacks that do high damage and multiple breath attacks that can inflict nasty status effects you better be very prepared to face this beast of a dragon.

How is mega Rayquaza not on here? It is the only Pokemon to get banned from Ubers. Also, its base form was even in Smash Bros trying to eat Diddy Kong. In the mystery dungeon games, shadow Dialga and his roar of time make the last battle very hard. Ultra Necrozma. Unless you had a Zoroark, this battle was hard. The fire dragon at the end of Fire Emblem: Blazing Blade gave a few players trouble especially on Hector Hard mode. The Dragon in kid Icarus was a tough match bc you had to dodge while avoiding falling in the lava. If you knew what you were doing, King Gleeck wasn’t actually that hard. You will need Korok seeds to upgrade your shields so you have at least 6 rockets. You also needed a bunch of Gibdo bones, a lot of arrows, Fierce Deity outfit, chili pepper dish, and the Master Sword merged with a part from a Lynel. This battle was so easy after you had all of these, making sure you take off right before Gleek gets back up.

What about Giratina in Legends Arceus, specifically when it is on the main villain’s team? The main villain and the penultimate boss of the post game has a team of 8 Pokemon, and if you lose at any point, you got to do the whole fight all over again. Make sure you stock up on healing items and Max Revives, and you better use your whole team to take out the main villain. And shadow Dialga is actually called Primal Dialga.

The Ultimate Weapon- Final Fantasy series usually this Weapon always takes the form of a Dragon & these Super Bosses are always more Powerful than The Main Enemy. 💁🏿‍♂️🐉

There is a youtube channel that only fights superbosses in video games, at like x3 speed it took 20 minutes to beat that FF12 dragon and even they said it's not worth fighting him unless you are going for 100% because by the time you can even get the option to fight him, the rewards for beating him won't be worth it.

Dragon Maleficent is not to be taken lightly. She has moves such as fire breath that leaves lingering flames, a bite attack, fire balls that'll home in on you, shock waves when she's moving or ground pounds and a helicopter spin that can do big damage. She's called the mistress of all evil for a reason.

Forget Alduin, how about all those random Dragon encounters? Where you are less likely to be accompanied by NPC allies to draw fire (pun intended) away from you. Trying to hide from a wild Dragon because you're too low-level to survive even one hit from it is a quintessential low-level Skyrim experience.
