I've got 20 hours as sniper, but 100 hours as scout, soldier and demo each. I don't consider my aim good, though i can sometimes shoot someone mid air. I remember doing good on badwater deleting people and doing like 20 headshots per match, yet we still got rolled because my team was shit. One thing to remember about sniper: he is not op. He can kill people really fast, but at a certain distance and he can't defend or push objectives. I like to play sniper cuz I just love sniping people, but he can't play the objective.

I skiped right to the salty stage and then moved to the insanely good quickscopes and missing by 5 feet and not even on head level. Also bought the cheap as fuck dragon slayer weapons. Overhealed guys + piss = compensation for overheal, a good scout is very agile and hard to headshot so by again the piss weakens him and makes him very easy to finish off and if you see a spy and get piss long range on him he can't no longer hide or runaway which will get him likely killed as he's noticed. This is why sydney sleeper exists. (I think atleast I might be wrong tho)

@@aayan52 Whatever you're comfortable with, mate! I mean if you do good with that, nothing wrong with it! The reason why I, and most Sniper mains, use this type of mousepad, is because it allows longer tracking to line up your shot with a lesser chance of missing or having your mouse fall off the pad. ( Or that's what I had in mind when I got one ) So if you are serious about snipin, I recommend investing in one! It's not needed but it will give you an advantage when playing sniper, in my opinion.

As hilarious as this is, there is an optional stage to stage 9: the goodie two shoes. The sniper main is one of the nicest people you meet and are always happy to learn, teach, and talk. They play the game casually and love to make friends. Sure they can get annoyed or angry on occasion but they don't really mean it. I was that sniper main. I let go of sniper though, after i took a long break from tf2. i came back and am now a full fledged medic main.

Sydney Sleeper is actually a S tier weapon for me. Fully charged headshots kill 8 classes, and the charge takes only a couple of seconds. Also full charge lets you support your team a lot with jarate. And it is also a crutch for bad snipers like me

Im a new sniper main, around 4 hours, I quit maining Pyro because I realized how unfun it is for both me and the enemy team, I try to go for body shots even on rev up Heavies, because I cant aim properly, do you or anyone who sees this have any tips on improving my aim? I've thought that exact same thing plenty of times. Every time I missed a Heavy I'd feel it deep in my soul, how embarrassing! But I'd always pick myself back up and try again. Sure, sometimes I'd take a break from sniping altogether, but I always came back. And now, after many months (And possibly even years if you count console), I can finally say... Why all of the hate for body-shotting? 150 damage will KO most classes in one shot, and it'll near do so to any of the others besides Heavy. If players are trying to support their team, body-shotting is an acceptable way of making it easier on defense. Also, enemy Snipers will die to 150 damage unless they have overheal or something else, so there's no reason why someone with decent map knowledge and patience won't give other Snipers a hard time. Competitive is different, but even then, success has a lot to do with other factors than headshots. Also, try using the CTRL button and crouching on sight if stuck fighting another Sniper. It throws off the muscle memory of other Sniper mains who aren't used to snapping up and then back down. :} Just some tips from playing since 2009. Keep having fun, that's what TF2 is all about!

The Medic will KO in one bodyshot, and their buddy will promptly lose that overheal.

Killing the Medic will stop them from healing everyone else. That's more important. A good Medic will run away and heal the nearest power class after losing his buddy. Killing one power class won't usually stop a push if the Medic is competent.
