The moment I realized I was a medic main was when I played him on badwater offense. There were two heavies on the cart and I was making sure both were at 450 to keep the frontlines healthy. Anyways twice that match I saved both heavies with an Uber from an enemy Uber, and after the match was over one of the heavies went in vc and said “medic you’re my hero”. Those words made me a medic main, as I realized that helping my team with heals is way more satisfying than killing the enemy.

Dude I remember going through stage 4 as medic - It was on one round where this guy was genuinely being friendly so I decided to kinda pocket him (since he was pretty good anyway). Then, I got auto balanced and about 2 minutes after the auto balance he said in chat 'I miss (my username)'. It made me so happy and I just couldn't describe the feeling. I just remember having a huge smile plastered onto my face lol. To whoever that was, thank you so much.

To be honest I'm there with ya I have days on medic and the whole vid I knew just what parts of playing were those scenes. I remember my first big “actually appreciated by team” moment as medic, the enemy had a massive push coming up, a heavy comes up to me and is like “hey med, get ready to Uber me to stop their push” I follow him and we circle around back, I pop Kritz and we completely lay waste to almost their entire team, stopping their push and allowing us to hold out long enough to win the match, the entire chat on my team lights up with “good medic!” And “nice push” and the one that I still remember to this day “medic mvp” and to this day, I always smile when I play medic because of that.

Just realised I might've helped a person become a medic main. He had chat but not a cosmetic in sight. He was and still is one of the most fun medics I played with. Thanked him at the end of the round cause I was playing better than I would've ever normally (I suck at the game) and his all caps thanks was awesome. Next round I didn't dare changing my cosmetics (not that I have many) or class so the now enemy medic could recognise me (2fort match). We found each other in a few friendly parties and we never killed each other. I hope he becomes a great medic one day

I used medic the other day, a heavy called me during a game setup, which I assumed meant they wanted to be ubered at the start of the match. They took me to the little shack next to the enemy spawn, so I thought oh cool, we are going to wait for them to head out of spawn, then ambush from behind. I Was waiting for them to run out so I could give them the maximum amount of Uber time... they diddnt. I ubered them assuming that was what they were waiting for. And they diddnt move. Guy wasted so much time, I refused to pay attention to the fool the rest of the match. Don't waste the medics time, it's just as important as being kind to them if you wanna get healed.

Ah, yes, this is real. From my perspective is more like making a connection with them because of two things: 1. You are now my favorite person on the team and i would like to keep you alive so you keep playing 2. I now know you are aware of my existence and you are more likely to protect me if anything happens, making things less stressful and fun. This also happens when i recognise someone is good at the game or have a playstile that is compatible with mine. The Heavy is a damage sponge, Soldier and Demo are our damage dealers, Scouts are our flankers, Snipers pick out priority targets and Engies lock the area down with a gun and brings the other classes forward quick, but you’re the reason they stay alive long enough to do their jobs in the first place. 4 years ago, I encountered a Demo Main on Sawmill (guy was probably at Stage 7 - Drunker Than Drunk) for my Stage 4 moment. He just talked to me, giving me some pointers and just decided to blast us around the map with the Sticky Jumper and Quick Fix. I thanked him, and somehow he knew I was actually starting to tear up - had to deal with an entire team literally hating me beforehand, so I got emotional. Never met him again, but he's the main reason I have fun with Demos.

I remember when I first played medic, I thought "OMG why am I burning to death AGAIN? Why can't the medic just point that thing at himself?" Then I realized something. Think about it. He may have lost his medical license, but if you brought a magic beam gun that can heal a near-dead patient to full health (and beyond) within SECONDS, nobody would care if you are a doctor. It would revolutionize the world. He'd be the most beloved person in all of history DESPITE his Dr. Mengele ways. Why isn't he? And why does he rather burn to death than apply more than a small healing puff to himself? Same reason why he won't inject himself with crusader's crossbow needles. Mid to long term side effects. That's why. The mercs just don't know, and the effects don't kick in immediately.

As a new medic main I gotta say, as infuriating as it can be playing medic. The moments you actually come on clutch for the team and end up winning the game because of it is like no other! The most memorable moment actually happened here just recently. I was the only medic on my team and we were on the losing team on DustBowl. On the last 2 control points. I had the Kritz equipped and was just trying to keep my team healed. Then this one soldier main came in and asked me to follow him. I decided to do so and with the combination of my kritz and his god tier Soldier skills we ended up both of us pushing the entire enemy team back and literally camped the enemy spawn MULTIPLE TIMES. Towards the last few minutes it got pretty hectic and the enemy team nearly pushed to the last control point. Me and this cracked soldier did one last push and once again left the enemy team in shambles with my crit Uber on his rocket launcher. The amount of pure satisfaction I got from clutching that with the soldier and him thanking me is easily my most favorite moment as medic and encourages me to keep playing and improving as medic!

I remember playing as a Medic, I helped the Sniper to get to the enemy base, having dealt with the spy and the Demoman, by charging him with Uber. When we got their base, he tried to give me high five. What I've done? Nothing. I didn't know how to give someone a high five or do some other group taunts because I was new to this game. I tried to tell him, “I don’t know how to give high five,” but due to my problems using the chat, I just stood there and went to get enemies documents. Such high production quality, up until 9:50 when the audio bugs out. I may or may not had taken a substance which alters perception, and I felt like it was in my head and my ears started to ring like- "This is too soon.." Just to go back a few seconds and noticed it was the vid itself. I felt beyond immersed due to the fluidity of the transitions and animations, as well as how relatable it all is, so top notch vid regardless of this confusing audio thing. 9.5/10

I LOVE playing Medic, but I'm also a new player and not super good at playing the game. Anyway, during a match, I didnt heal this guy fast enough and he died and yelled at me over VC, but then he IMMEDIATELY said "I'm sorry Medic, I didnt mean to yell at you, you're doing alright." It makes me really happy when people thank me but that moment in particular really stood out to me. To that demo who told me that, thank you ❤
