There was another guy who offered a floating effect where you have to make the gimmick from medical plaster. He charged a whopping $100 !! I remember John Mendoza was one of the few who purchased and he was pretty pissed off.

Yes, there was a fire that gutted Harris's apartment, destroying many of his possessions. After this he sort of renounced material possessions and became a little nuts, although to be fair he was always a little nuts. One thing I like to ask you about is how the distributors like Penguin and Murphys get off without blame for selling these awful products? Distributors carry responsibilty to carry quality products. Great vid Craig, thanks, loved it. But now I must confess, being a huge Sankey fan myself, I was able to make Zero Gravity work with my modified routine and approach...lol. I'd carry a slip of paper (roughly the size of a bill) with my hand written grocery list on it. Then when I'd be asked "Hey, show me something"...I'd explain how I didn't really have anything on me but I'd pull out my grocery list and say well maybe I can try something with this (as I hand it to them for examination etc). While they examined it I'd pull out my wallet, and do my get ready (which frankly was the hardest part to sort out), Then once I took it back I'd go into explaining how paper is made from wood which is really hard, but of course in paper form it doesn't have much strength, it's quite flimsy. But what if I could alter the state of the paper so that it actually had the strength of wood for a brief period of time. I'd then proceed with the trick, having them place my wallet on the paper...and well, you know the rest..lol! I have to say I fooled quite a few people with it over a decent period of time..lol. There's more details as to my set up of the gimmick and etc but you get the point.Just though I'd share..lol. Again great vid, much thanks.👍

That was entertaining AND informative. My main candidate for the worst trick of all time is a linking ring effect whose name eludes me. They released a mini set of rings with the standard gaff, but announced a NEW, REVOLUTIONARY method of linking that literally just involved openly linking the key ring to a solid ring in full view. At the right angle it did look good, but...! wtf!!!!

Craig, there should be a. “Honorable mentions” list for worst effects of all time- with Blunt being on there. I think back to the days you did the WPR, and the amount of effects you reviewed with Dave, and if you are talking about worst effects of all time, a bunch may have been forgotten. Blunt, the Devin Knight effect with “casey” the spinning card case, and the one with the reversed letters in the mirror (I think you dressed up as Elvis for a mock trailer), I don’t remember the names, but I was glad to see I float and Drink Magic and Canz on there, I thought you may of forgotten about those but didn’t. And how about Aztec, the ultimate levitation principle with the piece of plastic? I think there are many more out there. Come on Craig.....PLEASE, an honorable mentions list or maybe even another top 10 list and THEN an honorable mentions list. This is the best magic channel I’ve watched in a long time. My 15 year old son gets a kick out of this channel too and is not even into magic. The reviews are honest, which actually equates to me having more money in my pocket in the long run. Ryland is killing it too. I look forward to every episode you put out guys. Keep up the KILLER work!

Just to put it out there l absolutely love cognito. One of the best tools that came out this year for magic. The worst magic products l have brought was Sound Waves by Jay Sankey, Fragment by Abstract effects, Mint- O by Vanishing Inc, and coming in at No. 1 spot for terrible tricks is Method 01 by Calen Morelli

@@kokopetricevic5635 here's even more proof that Craig was right about magic being subjective. The 3 problems for me were: 1. The impressions on certain cards are not very clear 2. I felt like l had to push so hard that it hurt my fingers in order for spectator to even see the impression 3. Takes a card box out of play. Ie can't use that box for card in box/ card under box. I know you could of place it elsewhere but that seemed most practical to me A couple of other problems l had was That the double stick tape provided is not very good at all. So l had to search for some in house. The last problem is gimmick was fragile and l wouldn't feel comfortable having that in pocket at gigs

Not CTW by Peter Egging but I did win a summer's worth of swimming pool shows at a nice hotel by having a buddy slap the card on the window of the food and beverage hotelier, interviewing me. We had the timing right and a bit of luck as I asked her to gaze out of the window, think of any card, showed her her card from the invisible deck, tossed the cards of another deck at the window, and viola! eight shows.

Craig - several things on your list are not even available any more. Better to warn people of the bad magic that is still available. One no longer sold is Drink Magic. I got this roughly 8 years ago when it was still relatively new. Even then it was hard to get the specific soda bottles or cans needed to do the routines. I saw Michael Lair at a magic convention about 1-2 years later, and he told me the same thing - that he could not find the necessary bottles or cans, because they are just not made any more. I never did anything on his DVD.

Ok this is not the worst of all time but the Reel Watch by Uday. Its such a good concept (i know its an old one). But Ive want something like this for years. The way its put together is smart but the execution is horrible. They advertise it as stainless steel or titanium-- its not, its plastic. And the plastic on the reel is so sharp it cuts the IT and its unusably loud. Ive used reels for years and it became apparent fast that everyone who reviewed hadnt used one as they praised the hell out of it. I bought it, returned it thinking I had a fluke and kept it the second one I got when I realized it was bas as if you return something vanishing and penguin remove your reviews. Id buy a good mechanical one but theres no competitors atm.

A card prediction engraved on a fake Twix XD to be honest, one of the best card predictions out there is called "burn" or "burned" something like that. A trick that allows you to burn your fingers and revealing the spectator's selected card.

@@lifeiswwe4206 So glad I'm not the only person in the world to think this! The text on the timing apps is far too small, boring to read and wont zoom. The chaos swipe reveal is also too small and goes on forever with screen after screen and can easily go wrong if they miss the card on one of the screens. On occasions I've performed it for friends they don't realize it's the app doing the work but just assume I'm using a mental process of elimination which at best is worth a polite pat on the head reaction. Im sure it works for some people. But just seems rubbish to me.

I’ll admit when I first opened “Zero Gravity”, I was like “OMG- did he just finish eating an ice cream, come up with a (Craig’s term) brain fart, wash off the stick, attach a pull and put this out on DVD? But with that being said, I didn’t think that was THAT horrible. It made me think of a few other things I could do with it, but yes it was not that great. But top ten worst of all time? I don’t know. The best part of “I float” was when the creator, after the trailer comes to an end, cockily pushes the camera away and in a New Yorker type voice goes “get outta here!”. I’ve looked this up but I don’t think I ever heard another thing from this guy after I float. Just terrible.

I've been into magic for over 30 years and I've seen some fair share of "worst" tricks. Lot of Ben Harris tricks are my least favorites. Look into two of his creatons and I would add these two in the worst tricks ever. The tricks are "Hole In The Head" and Alida (floating card effect). The "Hole In The Head" trick is so bad that you have to be at the right time at the right place on this planet to make it work.
