The thing is i believe that Titus wasn't going to try and kill Clarke if they hadn't massacred the soldiers in the first place because he wouldn't have felt at more risk than he felt generally from Clarke he would've accepted her and her people eventually but after the massacre he felt more at risk from skaikru. Therefore if the massacre wouldn't have happened Lexa would probably be alive and the soldiers/grounders would have never harm skaikru. Pike ruined the peace and he refuses to acknowledge it because he truly believe that he was right and couldn't see how wrong he was, he was too far gone in his PTSD to a point where he put everyone at risk. P.s. Lexa would have died anyway though because Alycia left to do fear of the walking dead but that besides the point.

Fun fact: Eliza (Clarke) confirmed that "I love you" was not scripted. During an interview Eliza said that she felt it was right thing to do, since the love of her life was going to sacrifice herself for her. so they edited that part later on. That's why Lexa didn't say it back.

Murphy was the MVP this episode for me, he was so freaking awesome right there with Abby, taking charge and helping out Clarke. Him pumping the heart was gross but kind of hot? And I really liked Clarke's "thank you" to him at the end. And him saying "just another day" or whatever it was was a classic Murphy moment. I'm glad Octavia killed Pike! SORRY NOT SORRY. Seeing Lexa again was cool and some nice closure for their fans. I was really enjoying their scenes actually, until the very last one. Clarke saying "I love you" felt so odd to me. Not that she felt it necessarily, but that she said it right then and then all Lexa said was "I'll always be with you" or whatever and then just darted off! It was so dang quick and rushed. That scene should have been longer. There should have been another kiss or hug even??. (i get it was added in later or whatever, but Idk about that decision) Pulling the lever to stop everything was so anti-climatic. It just felt kind of rushed? Clarke should have gone into COL 2 episodes ago and then got stuck there or something more interesting than what happened. “We’ll figure something out.” Well, of course she will, it's Clarke!

I found Octavia killing Pike here very satisfying. It has to be her kill. And I loved that Pike had the AUDACITY to give Octavia that nod like “we’re good” and she’s like no bitch and straight up stabs him with no hesitation. I also like the detail of everyone just watching it happen and basically allowing it cause wtf they gonna do and also no one actually cared about Pike. Kind of like a collective, well he has it coming lol but then Octavia just walks away without looking back like she just checked something off a list. Love her

@@Daesma999 i get what you're saying but on the other hand he has no right to feel hurt or betrayed he DID murder the love of her life and everyone knew that Lincoln was the love of her life it was hard to miss, so i feel like he went down accepting his fate because he knew it was coming. With that i do believe that for a second after he saved her he did think that she would spare him/ forgive him I'm saying that based on his body language, so i do believe he was a bit shocked you could also see that on his face after the first jabb of the sword to his heart.

Yeah I've always though the last shot of the ep made no sense. But I guess I get them ending it on Octavia killing Pike and Bellamy's worry. We already know the lead in for next season -- find a way to survive the next nuclear apocalypse. I am not a Clexa shipper at all but Lexa flying in and saving Clarke gets me every time. I appreciate getting to see her go out fighting in away because the character deserved better than she got.

This is the second time the character of Jasper survives a deadly script. The spear at the end of the pilot was supposed to kill him, to establish a "Game of Thrones" style "no one is safe" rule. But afterwards they decided that Devon's performance was too good, so they changed the premise to make it a survivable spear hit, and killed Wells Jaha instead. The original script for Perverse Instantiation 2 had Jasper coming out of the city of light unable to bear having his pain back, and abruptly committing suicide. But they ultimately decided that this was too dark for the end of a season, so the ending was changed, and Jasper survived again.

I get Octavia totally. But also I totally disagree with the decision for HER character, and her health and well being, but they wrote it well with the point in showing that through it all, the things that happened the working together etc (with Pike most likely possibly having that development and I think it starts with that conversation with Bellamy) she valued vengeance and revenge. Blood must have blood is something I still don’t morally agree with although it makes for a great show. Yet I enjoy that we are seeing Octavia’s complete spiraling even with this action.
