Come along as we make the 12 hour drive to PA and deliver the Hydro to the ‪@10thgenerationdairyman61‬ .

Farmer on the Prairie is about my life on our central Illinois farm. My name is Seth and I am a young farmer with the desire to get things done and to keep the farm running smoothly. The farm is 740 row crop acres and 100 acres of pasture. We run about 100 grass-fed cattle and 1500 meat birds a year. Throughout my videos, you will get to know Dad, MommaD, and Sister. My brothers Josiah and Luke help us whenever there is a big project so they can feel important. We also have a part time employee Ben who is the comic relief. Because so many different things happen on our farm, there is never a dull moment. So tap that Subscribe button and come along for the ride!

My Duramax did that as well after a rad flush. It took about three weeks before all the air made it out of the system and has been fine ever since. The dealer gave me a jug to keep in the truck to top it up when the light came on.

That worked out for everyone. The road trip was interesting especially that area coming into PA from WV/Ohio - It's all old heavy industry towns that are economically distressed.

Those Hydro 84 tractors were decent tractors but I don’t believe there were too many of them made. I remember trading one in years ago from a man who used it in a commercial hay business. He also had a 186 but I believe they were a little ahead of their time. He never had any issues with them in a field but they did give him a little withe hydros overheating trouble if he tried to do groundwork with them.

Yea, you should have hid a couple mountain dew's on the "new tractor". I have occasionally left a long comment, I think this will be another. You guys are motivating stuff for an old guy like me, I get goin after watching you guys do some of the things I used to do. Eric's old JD that is/was always breaking down was new---new--- when I used to do a lot of work with two cylinder letter JD's, the farmers I was cutting hedge-row for were sporting those ...they were NEW. I also used to drive some of those same highways for various reasons, never used as nice a truck as you guys have. Wonderful stuff.... nose to the grind-stone - full speed ahead !!!

Talk about personalized delivery. At commercial rates that trip would probably have cost more than what the tractor was sold for. Long drive, what average speed did you travel at and was that lower than the limit? Nice that the tractor is valued and gets a second life. Great video.
@farmerontheprairie
@farmerontheprairie 4 жыл бұрын
It is about 750 miles. So yes the freight would be more than the tractor.

The truck’s fan is completely fine it was running at 190 degrees water temp. The coolant overflow tanks are just prone to failure on the lml Duramax.
