Yeah 10x10 is a very difficult but refreshing wad to play. Eapecially when you play wads like ZENITH or StarDate and all those. There are very few wads which difficulty i enjoy, i like my wads to be difficult, almost to the limit, but not impossible, like Sunder or NoSp2 for example, 10x10 is one that mixes both classic with slaughter in a good way. Very memorable. But i would suggest to turn off mouse-running when traversing or you'll be stuck forever lol.

Yup- that secret hallway-style fight is like a puzzle! ...I like how doomguy can 'solve' the fight by moving forward just ahead of the pinkies, who follow and get fraged by the Cybers' rockets. I dig puzzle-style fights. Also, my pals and I in the 90s used to call the pinkies 'pigs', and that's what they'll forever be in my head-cannon... We also called 'Archies' 'aliens', long ago- jeez: long? Half-of-a-lifetime ago!... Does anyone else have any other pet (haha!) names for some of the enemies?

This map is so uncanny, yet everything within it just seems so perfectly in place - the items, enemies, lighting effects, everything. If there was somehow a better fit for "Guardian Angel Loses Their Will" than AV's Toxic Touch, it's this level

Emma's Toxic Touch track is incredible, one of my favourite midi compositions ever, such a beautiful soundscape that you forget it's coming from midi instruments. Great choice by lunchlunch to use it here, it really augments the atmosphere of the map

Dang, again, with the Hell Knight hallway, etc, these fights are totally more puzzles than they're slaughter! (Though there IS some of that too!) I really dig that 'puzzle paradigm' in this level's fights design- one in which one is less dependant on pure FPS skill, and is more so on problem solving- working and leading the demons, etc. Soopercool!

Very cool map. I do love this MIDI though. Really nice to listen and that final area is fun to go through to the exit. This was really fun to watch. At last map from surviving all those enemies there is never a good thing. Has anyone done this once? 🤔Oh well, this mod was something else for people. I don't think it's for me though so I'll just do other mods from my own take. Regardless, this was a fun video as a whole. Well done lunchlunch and decino making these videos. 😄👏

Man I love this map. I saw somebody in the Doomworld Megawad club forum for this WAD label 10x10 as sunder lite which I agree with pretty heavily. For one, both WADs share a ton of DNA in the aesthetics department. Lunch Lunch's visuals feel so familiar yet so foreign and otherworldly. Makes you wonder what these places are and why they look the way they do. You can also see the comparison in the combat as well. I feel like a lot of the lock in fights and tight encounters you see in 10x10 have a lot in common with the more recent Sunder maps (like 19 and 20). Also, the music in this map is insanely good. It's up there with the mucus flow MIDI and Plasma (Alien Vendetta - Toxic Touch) in my opinion. I can't think of a better music choice to be honest, it fills the dead air with a beautiful eeriness that'll stick with you for a long time. So happy you played through this WAD, it became one of my all time favorites after I finished it.

You know where I went wrong? Back in 1994 I was 17 and a friend introduced me to Doom... As I was sitting down to play for the first time, my friend said "Wait! This game is great but it really isn't all that fun if you don't type 'IDKFA' at the start of each map..." So it became habit and I never learned how to play original Doom or Doom 2 the "right" way since I'd just BFG blast everything and make a beeline for the exit😢
