It's one of those situations where nothing you trained for can help you at that time. I doubt spies are trained to deceive kids. Cause typically in that line of work you don't see them

Coincidentally, I'm actually writing a sci-fi/fantasy book where the main characters are all in their mid teens, yet are already taking down powerful terrorists. But hearing that there was an 11-year-old WWII veteran really makes me realize that even children are capable of tackling great danger, whether it be in fiction or not.

To think that Graham was already a war veteran and also a divorced father at the age of 17, while most of us are still going to school and living with our parents at that age. Even though what Graham did was wrong, I still admire him for his willingness to give his life to defend his country, no matter how impossible it seemed. Young people willing to fight like him are what this modern world full of spoiled brats needs. By the way, there's a tv movie about Graham's life called "Too Young the Hero", in which he is played by Ricky Schroder

My grampa was 14 when he joined, he was part of a merchant ship to help pay towards his big irish family (he's the youngest of 11 siblings) and mother with cancer. Then WW2 happened and his ship got drafted, so he stayed on the ship because "double pay and hazard pay". He became a gunner, his superior officer had his head blown off next to him, he shot down a kamikaze plane and survived two sunken ships. Hearing all this happening to a 14 year old of my Grampa is crazy compared to modern expectations.

@TheKarina-ns1ob

The "pay yourself first" strategy involves making a budget of wants and needs. Once you budget your needs, you know how much money you can pay yourself first before spending on wants. Pay yourself first, and pay bills when they are due...
@summerfield01
@summerfield01 Жыл бұрын
@@TheKarina-ns1ob I know what the strategy is. Learned about it back in 2014 while taking an economics and finance class. Also, now that it was first created in the early 1920s when we were living in a very different economic state. That strategy should not apply to people where we are currently. I agree with everything else you said though and think this was great content to share. 🙏

If this is a true story age has nothing to do with war. When you are being attacked by another it is all hands to the pumps. It disgusts me how the likes of the United Kingdom government plays at war. "Dear, dear, you are just one year to young to go to war. Come back in a year's time." War is all, if nothing. People may now sit back and pontificate over age, from the luxury of their dwellings, but very different if the enemy is at the door. You throw everything at the enemy because the enemy deserves nothing but annihilation.
