I think the dirtiest tactic for a deadly trap, was rigging up downed soldiers with explosives. The Japanese in ww2 targeted medics like this

I guess they wanted collateral damage so the food items can potentially injure groups of soldiers. Also, an injured soldier is more of a hindrance than a dead soldier, so non-lethal traps would actually be ideal.

The Allies also employed the magnetic ship bombs. The Italians tried with their 'mini' subs (there is a video somewhere about that) but they either sunk, drowned, or couldn't find the target. Cheers & thanks for the video!

Italian Frogmen had the "Maiale" (Pig), which Is a torpedo that could be driven underwater, on surface or only head sticking out by a squad of 2 subs, they attached It ti enemy ship and set timer, then swim away. It could also explode in place if discovered by enemy (like kamikazes), in italian this was "Spolettare a zero" (Countdown set to zero) . They also had MAS (Motoscafo Armato Silurante) , a sort of fast tourist boat with a few torpedoes and machine guns/small cannon to attach bigger ships. They had mini subs but another interesting one was the "Barchino Esplosivo" , another tourist boat full of explosive that could be directed towards a ship, hit It and sink, then It detonated at pre-set depth, the frog man ejected his Seat befoore impact (Suda Bay Attack). As a Italian I hate when people Say "Italian Army was Bad in ww2", because we have people like italian Frogmen

You could make a second and third part based on the Chechen-conflict and the war with ISIS. BTW: I disliked the comment that of _the German soldiers' dark minds_ Sure, they existed, but the really scary part is that most of the people involved in all those horrific crimes were neither psychopaths, bloodthirsty sadists, lunatics, fanatics, or anything the like, but just people like you and me! The reason such comments annoy me is that thinking in absolutes cloudes your judgment and when you're the good guys, you can never be bad no matter what you do until other people win and history makes you the bad guys... (meaning that you were the bad guys all along, but you still regarded yourselves as the good guys)
