If your display is 60hz or if your display is 120hz and the HMDI port on the display is limited to 60hz (some manufacturers do that) this WILL NOT make your display become 120hz and WILL NOT display more then 60 fps! Your HMDI port or display is a bottle neck and you CAN NOT remove the bottle neck with an external device! If your HDMI port is capable of 120hz then this isn't needed at all and your just adding latency!!! It will only trick your console into thinking its display 120hz which may leave you worse off. Lower resolution and added latency. Example: 4k@60hz display, has a max resolution of 4k and max refreshrate of 60hz (screen refreshes 60 times a second). If a game runs at 4k@60fps... and you turn on performance mode that makes the game render at 1080@120fps and use this thing... it will just cause your display to show 1080@60fps with a bit more latency... same amount of frames with lower resolution and more latency... you are not seeing 4k 120 fames per second on a TV that isn't capable of displaying it... THIS DEVICE IS PRETTY MUCH A SCAM!!! The only possible benefit would be if a game can only enable performance mode if its connected to a 120hz display. (Again a 60hz display can not display more then 60fps) and a glitch occurs in resolution mode that doesn't occur in performance mode.

An update that was released not to long ago for the PS5 enabled most monitors to run at 120hz but only with games that enabled it. I would say try Warzone and black ops. Go to your video settings then video information and see if it says 120hz 👍👍👍

Great. I bought a whole new monitor. But that’s fine. Ps5 didn’t work with ASUS VG259QM, so I bought the BenQ EX2510, and I actually like this monitor better anyway. But it’s nice they have come up with a fix for the problem. Even though it should be PlayStation that came with a fix for their system. 👍

What’s up William! Alright so I’m your case you try these steps. Plug the hdmi from the ps5 straight into your monitor without the adapter. Your going to go to SETTINGS > SCREEN AND VIDEO > RESOLUTION. You’re not going to press anything from here. Now unplug the hdmi from the ps5 and attach the hdmi adapter now. When you see your screen turn black, wait 10 seconds. Now take the controller and press X, then DOWN on the D PAD, then X. It should switch back to 720p or 1080p. Basically what happens is the adapter tricks your ps5 thinking you have a 4K monitor and the screen stays black. Doing the steps above switches the resolution back to 1080p even if you can’t see it. That legit won't do anything for you... sure you can trick your ps5 into thinking its displaying on a 120hz monitor but your monitor will still be 60hz... like you won't see more frames. It will just add latency

@@Ahad- There will legitimately be no benefit to anyone using this on a 60hz display. TV or monitor. It won't display more then 60 frames per second. Its not changing the display itself. If a game runs at 4k@60fps in resolution mode changing it to 1080@120fps performance mode while using a 60hz display (regardless of resolution) will only still only result in seeing 1080@60fps. You can't force a TV or monitor to display more then its capable of... you can trick your system into thinking its displaying more but it won't actually do anything... unless its specific situation where the game crashes in resolution priority and only works in performance mode, and only way to get performance mode would be connecting to a 120hz display but that would be extremely specific and would likely be fixed quickly.

Make sure your ps5 is fully updated. You shouldn’t need the edi emulator any more. And of course make sure your settings are good. 120hz automatic on. Game preset to performance. That’s it 👍👍

Why would you have to “trick” your ps5? either the monitor supports 120hz or it doesn’t. I set my ps5 to performance mode and it recognized 120hz right away. Whenever I open the osd on my asus monitor it shows 120hz. No need for some snake oil “adapter”...

Sup! So in your case, you can only run 120hz with 1080p. And play upscaled to 4k at 60hz. You will need to get a monitor or tv that is 4k native and supports 120hz 😀

What’s up Jake! Alright so in this case here are some steps. Before plugging in the EDI HDMI adapter, go to the video settings where it allows you to change the resolution. Once your on it just leave it. Now unplug the hdmi cable and plug it in with the EDI adapter. Once this happens and you see that message. Your going to PRESS X, DOWN ON THE D PAD AND THEN PRESS X. It should revert back to a 480p, 720p or 1080p. You’ll be able to switch back to 1080p if it isn’t there. Hope this helps 👍👍👊👊

Sup bro! The elgato HD60s+ does't support 120hz at 1080p so it won't work. You need the Elgato 4k 60 mk ii. Hope this helps

What’s up dude! So try this. Before plugging in the adapter, just plug the hdmi from the ps5 straight to the monitor. Then make your way to settings and hover over the resolution selection. Once your hovering over that, go ahead and plug in your adapter while the ps5 is still on. When it turns black, press x in the controller, down on the road and press x again. It should switch to a different resolution and turn back on. Hope this helps! 👍👍

You may not need this at all, it should support 1080@120hz. The monitors hdmi port supports 1080@120hz. Unless there's an issue with the PS5 not being able to display 1080@120. Using this device won't make your monitor 4k or anything. It will only trick your system into thinking its displaying 4k but you will only see a max of 1080 could result in worse framerates but the frame rate thing that idk

@@wokezero3319 Whats your monitors model number? Do you have issues getting it to 120/144 with your PC? (Assuming you have one) Are you sure your resolution is set to 1080 before trying to select the refresh rate on the ps5? Some monitors have an option in the settings to enable 120/144 hz. Other monitors for some reason limit the performance of the HDMI ports so it can't go above 60hz idk why some manufacturers do that. If you tell me the model I may be able to help. Or at least tell you why its not working lol
