Man am I happy I got to see these things racing growing up. The 90’s F1 cars were on a completely different level from todays driving computers. When they drove past the sound went straight through your body, really visceral.

nope. youre a man that knows his damn grand prix cars. i grew up watching our nige so that red and white thing was well hated to me. but im damn glad to see McLaren about to win a constructors championship out of literally nowhere this year. would love to see williams do the same but i think theyre a spent force :/

This was REAL F1. Not what we have had for the last 20 years. Bring back the V12, refueling, free develpment, no electronic bs, no aero DRS, just pure power and driver talent.

Didn't read the title correctly, just saw someone wearing one of Ayrton's helmets and was immediately outraged...then realised it was Bruno! Great driver, I remember when he was still in GP2 people were saying he would go on and be seriously good (maybe not as good as his uncle) but a proper driver - anyway good to see this.

That was definitely what Ferrari was saying back in the 80s when the Honda V6 Turbo was thrashing them (The V6 Turbo in the MP4/4 is still the greatest car/engine combination in F1 history).

as a child i was a lot into f1, i was watching all races already back in 87/88. I was rooting for Patrese. Those were races worth watching. I remeber i made up a f1 out of cardboard boxes with the help of my out and i spent afternoons playing in it. it made me soooo happy! I still remeber the day Senna died , i was wacthing the race. I think i stopped following f1 around 1998, when Schumacher was winning all races and picked up 500cc which evectually became motogp, which i still follow to this day but 1980s and early 90s f1 was very cool, those cars were the shit. 01:50, That car looks so clean and elegant (not that edited caption with extreme negative camber). Despite having what I consider to be a very critical eye, I cannot fault it. It just looks right. Only thing I notice is that it appears to be running a much higher front wing, which maybe to avoid dragging on Goodwood's bumpy, undulating surface. But that's not the car; that's an issue with Goodwood. 😳

This is exactly what's wrong with modern day 'Formula One'... We used to have THIS ! What you see in this video.. Basically oversized Go-Carts with 1000hp, with bone-shattering sound you could feel in your body from 100m out, you could even hear the car from 3km away, and they looked like they where going fast, even when they where stationary... I still like F1 today, and I still watch it, but DAMN, I miss the look and sound of yesteryear.
