Grew up hunting with semi shotguns like Remington 1100s and Stoegers, so side charging is a big must. For my first AR got a Bear Creek Arsenal side charging upper in 300blk paired with a PSA lower with Maxim Defense pistol brace and EPS. I love the side charging of it but I feel like it is cheap, bring on the BCA jokes. Just don’t like the rear traditional AR charging but love normal AR controls. Always have loved AKs too. This seems to be my next “big boy” rifle for me cause most of my friends have the nicer end ARs and I’m kinda wanting to step it up to match. From seeing all the reviews it seems like it fits right up my alley. Not bashing the BCA or PSA upper and lower, they’re great, but they served their purpose for me getting into the AR world.

Waiting for version 3. Heard they're going to fix the rail, which is a big deal long term.

I haven’t had any issues with either rail, on Gen 1 I knew of a problem but I never had that version

Makes zero sense...you buy Gen 2 now.....use it until Gen 3 comes out which may or may not address any rail issue or non-issue.....and then you just sell the Gen 2 and buy the Gen 3

I also got the 13.9” I put the SOLGW Nox, it’s a 3 prong with 3 little ports at 3,6, and 9 o’clock, I use the Strike Industries Dual Folder with the cheek riser, B5 grip and POF 3.5lb single stage trigger (it’s the best single stage trigger, 0 pretravel, 0 over travel, just like 2mm total distance and back to reset) ive been running it with the new AB A-10 Warthog silencer, it’s one of the lightest and smallest duty rated cans, I added a hub keymo adapter, it’s my main rifle now. Might swap to a JMac custom stock, running a dot and magnifier now, might switch the unity mount or the spuhr, I’ve considered a 5x prism with top mount pistol dot, or go lpvo with top mount pistol do. What optics do you like on your 13.9”?

@@znathan4375 I get a little bit of black stuff on my hand but not much, I do run it suppressed with a low back pressure can, I’m going to be adding some rail scales or other type of mlok rail sections to 1, protect my hand from heat, I don’t know if you’ve done some pretty heavy strings of fire, but it’s gets pretty hot. 2, to add more grip texture. 3, cable management, many rail sections have cable management areas in the sections to keep my cables out of the way, and 4, probably the most important reason, it looks awesome and cool, and let’s be honest we all have want our guns to aesthetic as fuck.

Literally the only reason why I have not bought the BRN 180 yet is because of the pencil profile barrel if they had a medium or even better yet, a heavy barrel profile, I would be on their site right now and buying one. I really hoped that they change, the profile sometime soon here.

I don’t, I’ll take a lighter weight rifle.
@chrisjosekuehl
@chrisjosekuehl 24 күн бұрын
It’s a Hanson style profile and the contestant taper provides excellent harmonics and little point of impact shift when it gets hot. Why would you want a heavy profile barrel and carbine? It’s doesn’t do anything for you except add weight.
@CombatBuckee
@CombatBuckee 24 күн бұрын
@@chrisjosekuehl heavier strings of fire. Its a lightweight barrel profile anyway, not tapered. Its ok my MK18 weighs like 12 pounds anyway idc

Stupid question I'm not new to guns, but I am new to suppressors. I just received mine this past weekend. Will it damage it if I shoot supersonic, or do I just need to stay with subsonic. It's a 30cal can, and I shoot 300blk. Also, will there be a problem if I shoot 5.56 through it.

@shootintheshtpodcast 5 ай бұрын
Most suppressors come with a manual and state what you can and can’t shoot with it. If you got a sandman then you can shoot to like 300 win mag or 300 rum but don’t quote me on the RUM.

How do you like the mid west stock? Does it lock up solid? Does it fold to easily? Like so Easily that it can done unintentionally?
@shootintheshtpodcast
@shootintheshtpodcast 4 ай бұрын
Yes, it’s pretty good. I have a whole video about the stock. It’s really hard to close when you first get it, but like after 10 folds it’s super easy. It locks up solid. Just when you get it degrease it, and apply loctite (blue or purple) to all the screws like the instructions say. It’s a great stock. Just a bit heavy. I’ll post a link to my other video about it

I’m a lefty and it’s perfect for a lefty, add ambi mag release, radian ambi 45 degree safety, Guiseppe maritime bolt catch, a folder than can fold to the right side and your are all set. I have changed my charging handle to the folding one, but I might grab the non reciprocating one.

@@TriggaTrey361 no, that’s not what I said. In suppressed mode it requires a really high back pressure can. If you don’t have one of those, then don’t run it in suppressed mode. If a gun can’t run suppressed then I would never recommend it.
