I am 12 almost 13 and this summer I have been mowing lawns. Most people had lawn mowers and provided gas so it cost me absolutely nothing. In a month I would earn about 175-250$ a month. The only problem is that the lawn mowing season is from may to late august, meaning it isn't continuous income. I would normally keep about 50% of the money I earned to just play with and buy things I wanted. The rest would go into a savings account that was used for college funds and emergency funds for the future.

Hey Mark! Great video. My first side hustle at 14 was being a baseball umpire. I did this for about 7 years and was making anywhere from $350-$500 a weekend. I eventually started running baseball tournaments on the weekends where I was making upwards of $2000 per weekend. I HIGHLY suggest this “side hustle” to any young person as it not only is good for making money, but it also teaches valuable life lessons such as punctuality and respect for the individual.

Then moved on to door to door apointment setting. Then moved on to cold calling for insurance. (Wasn’t very good at cold calling over the phone but I gained experience). Now I sell loans. If I ever have kids, I’m going to take them door to door to sell candy and let them keep the cash. One day I went door to door selling chocolate I bought in bulk from Costco and made like $20/hour on average which is around $24/hour since it was off the books.

Really good advice overall, graphic design, video editing, mentoring, KZbin channel, affiliate marketing, digital marketing, life coach, budget planner, artwork and book writing ECT. All very good side hustles that can be done relatively easily online using AI tools like Chat GPT and others

Hi Mark! So glad I happened upon your channel. Very valuable content. I am older too but very in tune with online business. Many thanks to you for the inspiration and relatability!

Speaking from experience I can say this really does work. When I was 17 I sold cokes from my lunch box at school for a dollar and on the weekends I was a referee at an Airsoft field. Then when I was 21 I had saved enough money from a deployment with the army that I bought a rent house and now at 24 I’m about to finish renovating my 2nd. One thing that you can do at any age part time is to become a real estate agent the only catch to it is you have to pay for the course material and state test which is typically about 1-1.5k depending on where you are.

What a great break down, it would have been great having that advice when I was in my teens. Had I not been in and out of the hospital so much, some of those would have been great startup ideas. Being a Referee would have been me getting stretchered off the pitch. On a more serious no, there are definitely lots of ideas even those of us that are in are 40's+ can do. No, that avatar really is me 2 years ago at 43, not a younger relative.

I'm using automotive detailing to fund buying Tools to add to my set, every detail is a new tool or re-up on chemicals, if you package your prices right you can make money and it's an amazing way to practice advertising and networking. Finally if you're into photography and cars, this is a perfect way to get paid to take pictures of cars (after you clean them and get them picture perfect of course)
