Great review as always guys! Just wanted to answer a couple of questions you guys had in the episode! From what I understand the 50th is set after 'Waters or Mars' and before 'End of Time' because when he emerges from the tardis he mentions about her no longer being the 'virgin queen' so it was most likely around that period And with regards to Wilf not being at the wedding, they mention in the sontaran stratagem that he was ill in bed with the Spanish flu Hopefully that answers your questions! My take on that one off take off of the TARDIS at the end,was that it harked back to the unused idea on the ship lifting off like a rocket when the show started, as can be seen in the very first seconds of the opening titles. Seemingly that white streak is how they thought the TARDIS might take off before changing it to the roll back and mix we all know and love!

I'd be quite surprised if RTD didn't have something up his sleeve for us this Xmas - something like a christmassy 'Night of the Doctor', a minisode prequel to the November specials with a festive bent. It just seems like the sort of thing he'd do.

I’ve been thinking the same thing! I afraid it will go by with nothing because I feel so certain he’ll do something and I’m absolutely certain he wants to do something even if the BBC and other internal politics won’t allow him to. I had even fantasized early on that we’d get the first David Tennant special on Christmas Day, but that probably is too much to hope for. But yes, hoping against hope for a big ole RTD Christmas Surprise….I just can’t wait til next November for a new WHO fix!!! :-)

If you want another example of Sarah Parish fully committing to the bit then look no further than the Merlin two-parter where she plays a Troll both in and out of prosthetics, she really goes for it with the villains. I particularly like the Empress of the Racnoss as she was one of the only (?) BIG practical monsters in NuWho. From memory only RTD really allowed for his monsters to be colossal in size and even then they are largely CGI, as are the few other showrunners monsters which reach above 7 feet.

I think the reason she was doused with the particles was because her body as the 10th doctor put it a hormonal cooking pot, which would prime and activate the particles. Yes finally 2 others who think the 10th doctor(not tennant) is a vain, egotistic, manipulative bellend. Im not alone anymore! Even the 11th doctor admits the 10th had vanity issues. If you really look at what a lot of the 10th doc does, he is actually a very very dark, cruel manipulative doctor, (with massive vanity issues) to both villains and companions. Worse than 7, at least he doesn't attempt to hide it,

The point you make about the new logo appearing in the title sequence, I suspect the chrome logo title sequence was meant to be a placeholder that wasn't replace until 2 series later, because that orange logo appears at the end credits before the next time even from Rose. But something I noticed and can never not notice is how that new logo is really badly slapped over the top of the chrome one.

The patterns of the coat and the trousers are actually different if you look closely. It's not part of a set, they are two separate patterns of tweed. I kind of like that - it's almost like an optical illusion.

A damn good RODering😁 12:45 - I'm surprised they are keeping this version of the police box - it's not like it's the one from Ghost Monument, they've made several versions of it since then - I still wish they'd have another go at it, they might even get closer to a properly decent one (that box in the Harry Styles thingy was lovely!) I think the costume looks better in motion than it does in photographs. I hope the crop top doesn't mean we're going to constantly see the Doctor's belly button. Runaway Bride: I enjoy the taxi chase. It's very RTD in that it's super hyperactive and going "LOOK AT ME". I lose interest once they arrive at Torchwood as for all they go to the formation of Earth, it's just one tedious long scene.

Without having seen him in action yet, for all we know, Ncuti's Doctor may well just go to a high street shop to get some clothes. The Doctor isn't obliged to dress up out of the TARDIS wardrobe's jumbled collection.

A question for the next ROD; when will the David episodes broadcast? Over three weeks? Over three days? Starting on the 60th or ending on the 60th? Matt, Matt, Sylvia says in The Sontaran Stratagem that Wilf was “laid up with Spanish Flu” at the time of the wedding, hence why he’s not there!
