c30 T5 is an absolute blast. love love love that car
@hustensaftvernichter37852 жыл бұрын
I agree. Plus you're not driving an every-man's car and definitely see it stand out at the parking lot. Also, there are a few amazing colors to choose from, like safari green or orinoco blue metallic. I personally picked a 2006 C30 in Orinoco Blue and I think it's an amazing starter. Had to have the clutch replaced after it had passed the 160.000 mile mark, though. I would call that decent reliability. Although I find myself under-motorized at times (especially on steep inclines) and often have to shift down in order to keep the torque on point in my 1.6 petrol version (100hp), I would be very hesitant to recommend the T5 to a starter, though. Are we talking second or third car? Maybe. But definitely not as a first car, as we are talking about 230 hp here in a compact wagon. I think that's too much as a first, and that applies to many of the examples in this video as well. If I had to recommend a version of the C30 to a starter, I would probably go for the 2.0 petrol engine. It's an alright gas mileage, great engine with enough torque for any daily situation and still plenty of punch for it to be both a daily driver and a fun ride, especially if you let the revs go up on twisty roads. I guess 140 hp is definitely more than enough for a starter and offers enough power reserves for the years to come in a compact and light hatchback like the c30. Oh, I almost forgot: The C30 has some amazingly comfortable seats, as well! The only downside there, however, would be the 5-speed gearbox, which definitely could use a 6th gear for longer commutes.

"Just go DRIVE a Mini". I ask everyone who is looking for a fun car to take this advice. I never even considered buying a Mini, never crossed my mind, until I drove a friend's 06 Mini Cooper S. As I drive a r53 supercharged Mini Cooper s for my first car, can say it is so much fun to drive, and sounds like a baby hellcat. Me and my buddy always go backroad driving, and i can happily keep up with his 2017 WRX when the going gets twisty. The thing handles like a go kart (I know cuz I worked at a go kart track for a year, they handle very similar) Better still, throw about $1000 into the engine and it will even keep up with a wrx in a straight line. They so lightweight it Doesn’t take much to make them fast. My car is the car everyone in my friend group loves, and it has so much character and has been relatively reliable even tho I have been beating the crap out of it, and I take 4 people and their backpacks to high school and back every day. The mini taught me a lot about how to drive a car fast, and a lot of people sleep on it, but that is until they see it in action. Amazing first car, can agree
@nit01342 жыл бұрын
You don't even need to throw $1000 to keep up with a WRX in a straight line. Just put in a smaller pulley for the supercharger, like a 15% pulley, and that alone gives it a big boost :) Mini is easily the funnest car I've driven though, literally feels like a street legal go kart.

I live in California, anything older than a 2009 it's hard to pass Smog unless you have a stock OEM Honda. I recommend Mustang GT, and Stay away from any EcoTragic Ford, or GM products with Turbos. Turbos are mounted too close to the engine and heat up because the Downpipe is connected to the exhaust. The Turbos heat up to 1438° F. There variations cause abnormal expansion on the cylinder next to the Turbo and without heat 🛡 shield or Thermo blanket. Mustang and even Bronco with 3.5 Turbo V6 in the Mustang it's cylinder 3 causes low compression. I would buy at Mustang GT Performance Pack Magneride Suspension or Mach1 Handling Package. If money is an issue the 2022 Toyota 86 with the 3rd Man's Pedal 6 Speed Manual Transmission

If I had to choose my first dream car off this list it would have to be the Ford Mustang Ecoboost

@Jacob De Marco Bro Ecoboosts are so much fun, change the blow off valve and tinker with the exhaust and you have beautiful, modern, and reliable daily driver that sounds like a classic jdm turbo tuner car with respectable power numbers to back it all up 😁👍
