THIS STORY:
It was a warm summer day on Tuesday , in July of 1919 on the near north side of Chicago. At 9 AM, little five-year-old Janet Wilkinson went to the playground on Chicago Avenue.
She did not go there alone, she had 2 of her little friends with her.
Janet left them all around noon, and the last she was seen...she was talking to a man named at the corner of Rush and Superior streets.
THIS CHANNEL:
_________________________________________________________
The Angel face you see is the Haserot, named “The Angel of Death Victorious". The stoic angel is seated on the marble gravestone of canning entrepreneur Francis Haserot and his family. Holding an extinguished torch upside-down, it represents a symbol of life extinguished. Wings are outstretched and the gaze is straight ahead.
IN THE END, DEATH ALWAYS WINS. LEST THE FACES NOT BE FORGOTTEN...
This channel is focused on casually walking and viewing a handful of the thousands of forgotten names and faces at various cemeteries near and afar. Seeing their faces up close. And when able, telling the stories behind their names.
Most graves are unknown and lost to history.
Some are famous.
And some infamous....
....and some with tragic endings.

Poor little girl Janet. So innocent and unassuming was so violently taken by this vile macabre monster. And to be described as a 'it' is a terrible insult beyond words. Thank you for remembering her Ron, bless you. She is no longer forgotten. It broke my heart knowing what she had to endure, her terrible injuries were ghastly. Bless you sweetheart Janet. Rest in peace.

Bless her heart! I am surprised and very thankful to be alive at 70. My brother an I were raised in our younger years in Chicago, and did not reside in the best of neighborhoods. We ran the neighborhood streets when I was 6-10 because my alcoholic parents were in the bar from the time they got off work til after dark. Our grandparents lived near us which helped out. I am grateful we made it. This was in the late 50’s to early 60’s. Our grandparents took us and move to a small town in Arkansas where life was good and safe. Thank you for this reminder to keep your young children close…. Keep track of where they are and who they are with. God Bless you!

Chilling…when my brother and I were small a man on our block lured us inside with candy. He was a little inappropriate and when we got home we told our mother who told us never to go in his house again and promptly left no doubt to chew him out. He was afraid to talk with us after that. We still said hi when we passed his house but like I said he seemed afraid of us. We were fortunate!

Some people today believe that these types of child abductions, molestations, and murders are more of a modern- day phenomenon, due to the deterioration of our society's morals, and family values. Tragically, it has always been happening. May Janet and all the victims of these sick monsters rest in eternal peace.

I think I heard you say you were coming to Pennsylvania. A story you might want to look into. I don't know if it's in the national news, but they finally solved the identity of the "boy in the box". The police have identified the boy and his family. They have not released the name of the family yet. This story has followed me my who life. I was born in Philadelphia and this boy was murdered about three years before I was born. Over the years an occasional story cropped up. When they release all the information, they will change his tombstone and put his name on it. The search now will turn to his murder/murders.

If Janet Wilkinson's face was swollen and discolored, then the perpetrator must have beat her before she died. If she was dead, there would have been no blood circulation to cause bruising. What a terrible man. There are stories that say that Janet Wilkinson was afraid of the perpetrator, so Janet did no go with the him willingly. That poor child.
