You had bad guitar teachers if they told you so. Look at the guitar virtuosos and you will see that none of them holds the guitar perpendicular to the body like the guy in the video does. And you don’t even need to have a guitar to understand why. Due to the fact that he holds neck so close to himself, he has to pull back his left elbow and his arm is constantly tense. Due to this positioning of the guitar, his right elbow, on the contrary, bulges forward at this crazy angle. Again, he holds his whole right arm in suspense instead of just resting it on the cutout of the guitar, which is there specifically for this. Thats why his alternate picking is bad - instead of playing Misirlou by moving his wrist only, while the relaxed forearm rests on the guitar, not only his whole arm but his body is shacking like he is having a seizure due to tension in his arm and shoulder. kzbin.info/www/bejne/qoXRlYNumpKsbKM

@@theali8oras274 It doesn't as long as you're playing entry level stuff. But when you get to the certain level of speed and difficulty you just have to hold guitar and pick in the right way if you don't want to sound like a total mess or your hand to fall of mid gig.

In 1965 people probably didn't have any idea of which song they should listen to first. They still are so great!

Great video I tried to learn as much of the songs as I could and they’re really fun to play !

I love how all of the songs back then were so much more unique. A lot of newer, mainstream music is so similar :/

0:04 when he starts it just hurts, it begins on the 1st fret. If you start at the 2nd it sounds so happy...ugh... But besides that a great video and I love how you didnt just play the riffs but did also had the right settings👍

I didn't realize "I wanna be your dog" was 1969, I thought it was 78-80. man, that song was lightyears ahead of its time.

Great job ! I see a lot of " these songs were ahead of their times" comments. These songs were not ahead of their time. That was the time. We are now way behind the time.
