The location of video is so symbolic. I think he's in tunnel because it's referencing the phrase "there's light at the end of the tunnel" and if you notice the end of the tunnel has no light. Showing that he's lost hope. Even the light bulbs overhead are starting to flicker out. The artificial lights symbolizing that even the little good in his life is starting to die out, since it was never to truly real. Or maybe I'm just looking too deep into this
@a-line76048 жыл бұрын
That comment was beautiful. Also they've said that they wrote these songs (antichrist, and facedown) when they were in a dark time which is why Matty can't preform antichrist without breaking down. Which is why it irritates me when people say their lyrics are bad because each song they pour their heart and soul into writing
@azucenaramirez62748 жыл бұрын
+aaline they actually love Antichrist and said they would play it if they knew the lyrics. even their manager wants them to play it since its one of his favorite songs. it might be on a future setlist soon ((:

// I honestly think The 1975 are truly the most amazing band in the world. They possess the power to transport you to another world in no time. They have lyrics that you could relate to, they have stories some could relate to, they are 100% real and they don't care whether you like the real them or not. Sure they aren't like so many bands they don't have the looks you would find in other modern day bands (you know the ones that are photo shopped) but still they are more attractive than any other. It's like they can reach down your soul and touch it. The chills that they give you are not like any other. The chills are the ones where your arm and back hair stand up but it's warm that you want to feel it again and again, I honestly can say with every ounce of my body agreeing that there will never be a band like The 1975. I feel bad for the generation.People won't hear what absolute genius The 1975 music is. I love The 1975 // May they always be heard forever.

You nailed it bro... perfectly summed up. I think the 1975 is a very unique band and different from others. Their music, it's so soulful ,take you into another world. So uplifting, make you forget everything and let you fly with the melodies. It touches your heart and make you feel good without any reason. Everytime when I listen them,they sound better.

I've been listening to The 1975 for awhile now but I've just now been interested in this song. I use to listen to music for their voices, but when listening to The 1975, I enjoy Matty's voice as well as the music the rest of the band produces. Not only is the sound beautiful, but they fit it all so perfectly with the visuals. I've never been so infatuated with a band and every song they've written!

I swear every time I listen to this song, it either propels me into an existential crisis or helps me reconcile my already profound despair towards life and death and all the silliness that exists (or doesn't) in between. Especially that beginning bit before he starts singing, it sounds so damn light and sweet and serene, as if everything's turned so gentle and warm and humid beneath the spring morning's sun in your grandparents' old farm. It feels somewhat eerie sometimes, yet also comforting and altruistic. It's honestly really strange, but it's brilliant nonetheless. Plus it's also just an incredibly sentimental piece, and that obviously merely adds to the whole atmospherical, yet invisible sphere that seems to surround this song's pretty tunes.
