Not a fan of pop music, but I am a fan of The 1975. I love their courage in experimenting, exploring different genres. They don't stick too much in the fabricated radio pop such as other "huge" artists. Looking forward to the album.

Putting pop music into a box that you just dismiss is definitely one of the most ignorant mistakes of music lovers
@DavidVOLTA
@DavidVOLTA 2 жыл бұрын
@@ghostbooger4534 ...same as making assumptions based on my short comment 🤷🏼 Of course pop music is very broad and you cannot put universal label on it, but speaking about "fabricated radio pop" is actually easy to distinguish. Shallow lyrics, same rhytm all over, stupid tiktok like dancing, autotune etc. My point was, that the 1975 had it all to become just like that. Pseudo artistic piggy bank for a major label without any added value to the music scene. But somehow they didn't loose themselves and still sound true. They are not the only one pop band like this, but definetely bands like these are hard to find nowadays....hope you get my point now.

Finding Matty and his music was the best thing that happened to me for the past 2 years!!! I was missing not having some attachment some food to my soul and just when I thought that I need this it found me and I have found Matty and his music and I connected immediately but then Matty disappeared from socials and I ve waited and waited and waited and now that he is back I couldn’t be any more happy! I love him to pieces I understand him I love his sense of humor I get his sad moments I understand his dark moments… I just understand and get him. I actually love how The1975 always tries to find more and more about their ars poetica in terms of music, and art on a general level. I personally find every record unique and a piece of time they experienced that most of us can relate to, and all the meanings put into the lyrics which makes their music indeed very thoughtful and full of empathy. It is really wonderful and magical, even if the world is as sad as it seems.

I adore how the 1975 is experimenting so much with new sounds and genres, it seems like they really enjoy the music they're making and they all collaborate on it, without caring about the numbers. that's why they're all still great friends and still love what they do. i admire this band so much.

In the space of 6 weeks after hearing part of the band , and never knowing who the 1975 were , I've become a huge fan, im 49 where have I been to have never heard a 1975 song , more than making up for it. I've also been watching Matty in interviews and I really like kid , but , and I don't know if anyone thinks the same but Matty is heading for a crash, he is relentless, he is always writing, and they are putting out album upon album , so my point is at some stage time will catch up , he plays live gigs in the daytime on his own during tours , I worry that there will be a time when there is nothing left to write about and heroin becomes his thing again, demons in a band can be the worst thing ever, I hope I'm wrong Such a great band , wow I've missed an entire career , like I say. I get through a couple of albums a day on a loop so I'm catching up
@Joelyne37
@Joelyne37 Жыл бұрын
I know im kinda late to this but as a long time '75 fan, i can say that u dont have to worry about matty and the guys getting burnt out. They love music too much to let it become a burden; they love performing too much to let it become a burden. The only reason they've released an album as often as they have is because it's happened organically. they're the type of people whose art is how they see and make sense of the world so they're just constantly writing and recording music. For literally no other reason than they love it. And i imagine if it does start to catch up to them then they'll take the necessary time off they need. Matty has even said that after their last album they released in 2020 they felt a little bit lost. and yet they were able to find their way back and still release an album (possibly even their best album) in 2022 completely organically. Not to mention the band were very vocal when they were getting ready to release their album in 2020 that a shift was going to happen and that they weren’t going to write a The 1975 album the way they had been again. Which meant that they weren’t going to be doing the constant release album, write and record new album while on tour, release new album, write and record another new album while on tour, etc. it just so happens that the pandemic happened so we still got an album in the typical 2 year time frame purely because they were t on tour and could just focus on writing and recording. So it might be 4 years until we get a new album now since they’re back touring again. Who knows. But one things for sure and that’s the people on their team are all very close so there's no "corporate pressure" to produce music like there might be for other artists. They have the space and ability to put out music when and how they want. I mean their manager is one of their really good friends and was a founder of their record label so they have genuine people looking out for them in all aspects of their career. But like i said, matty and the other guys live and breathe music. What seems like a lot to the outside is actually nothing for them, because they genuinely enjoy it and it's part of who they are, not just what they do. And just to reiterate: the band, but Matty especially, use music as almost a diary, to make sense of the world around them, so as long as Matty is existing in this world he's going to have something to write about.
