My dad has had one of these since '90, and we just had to repair it for the first time. Still runs like a dream and is in great condition.

I parted a Duetz version of one of those about 7 or so years ago. I still have the rear axle and the front frame with casters that the deck hung from. The cables for the rear steer wear out and are expensive to replace if you can still buy them. Later versions had an improved steering system. There were variations of them with larger engines, decks, wheels and tires and some with hydrostatic drive.

i have one of these.its easy to drive,first off don't take off in 5th gear at full throttle.i leave mine in third and mow an acre in about 20 minutes and half is hilly.

I am looking at one of these or a Bolens estate keeper/greens keeper. Looks like it can keep pace well with a Zero turn as they steer more like a combine or swather. Which is great for tight turns and lawn mowing.
@SH00T_TH3PUMP3 жыл бұрын
It wont break the chain driven axle in 5th gear if you release the clutch pedal slowly. Dumping it, has only made the wheels spin alittle on grass with ours! ☺
@SH00T_TH3PUMP3 жыл бұрын
Double gas tanks is factory with a mechanical fuel pump. We dont even need the choke to start ours. It's a fabulous machine! There should be pulley covers on the cutting deck. Ours has the battery in front of the motor on that open section next to the transmission.

I love these eccentric little tractors. I'm trying to find a Bolens EK right now, they're similar to this style Simplicity except they are articulating and the engine is in the back.

Hey Lynol! I'm 14 and I love your videos, I would LOVE to buy that SunRunner for my lawn, I have a small lawn (1/6 of an acre) and hard to maneuver my two tractors. And I have a WeedEater just like your "Bucking WeedEater" We could trade or I would be happy to pay for the SunRunner and give you the WeedEater for free. Thanks! Corin.
@nickwoodruff33219 жыл бұрын
Corin Gatwood Why not just buy a new one? I mow 3-5 acres a week for a little cash on the side (waiting to get a drivers license/car so I can get a rear job), and I would run one of my newer mowers over my oldies ANY day just for the fact that its faster (tighter steering radius and most new mowers have hydro trans-axles) and obviously easier to find parts. Now for plowing, pulling, ect its hard to beat my old garden tractors, they are beasts when it comes down to raw power.

I am in need of something showing me how to put a belt on for this mower I just bought one I love it but needs a belt have no idea how to put one on and also need the belt size and info please help me thanks million RaJeana
@n3bruce8 жыл бұрын
I believe it uses a 129 inch belt for the deck, and a separate belt for the hydro unit. It is a pain to replace it, there is an idler underneath that needs to be loosened to replace the belt, best to do it with the mower off. You will probably have to get it from a Simplicity dealer, and because it was a low volume unit, he will probably have to order it. Nice mower, but eventually the rough ground and heavy grass wore it out.
