One of my favorite arcade games of all time. Used to play a lot in a shopping mall here in Brazil. Spetacular combination of graphics, sound & playability. The title sequence is very nice, with that mysterious and dark athmosphere. It is not an easy game but it is possible to finish it with just 1 coin! This game uses the Motorola 68000 processor which was very common in those years and, together with Z80 processor, equiped the majority of games at that time. The sound part was handled by a pair of Yamahas and a OKI chip for storing the digitized voices. In my opinion, the best game produced by Data East. Thanks a lot for sharing with us!

I have many fond memories of playing this at a pizza place as a kid. The pizza would always get done too quickly though, which meant my parents would need me to go home, so I never got to finish it until many years later on emu. Awesome to see the original cabinet again, I grew up a huge fan of the franchise (except 3, but like Meat Loaf said, 2 out of 3 ain't bad lol) and enjoyed the first NES game a lot as well (it was the first NES game that was bought specifically for me and not inherited from my older sis). Thanks for the upload! 👍

I was just listening to Meatloaf earlier, what a coincidence :) When I was a kid I saved up my money and bought the cheapest NES game they had at the store, "Fester's Quest"... so that's one of my favorites, they mean more to you, it makes it more fun to play :) Thanks for watcing!

I remember this arcade game. I was maybe 4 or 5 on vacation to Wilmington,NC and my older cousin took me to the circle K and played this game with me. I remember the film clips around the cabinet. Years later in the mid 90’s they had this game at a place called Caesarland which was little Caesar’s version of Chuck E. Cheese, they had this game and I finally played it.

Its funny you said its a rip off if batman. Ocean was a uk developer who bought licenses and made really questionable games to sell off the back of the name. They owned the license to batman in the 80s as well so this hame is just a rebadged version of the same gane. I saw one of these in the 90s in an arcade in London. Nice find!

Im really surprised no one has made a STL file to 3d print replacement handle bar covers as that part is damn near impossible to replace now a days.

The side art is similar to the movie poster and the bezel contains many stills from the film. The cabinet above is a conversion of an original Bad Dudes Vs. DragonNinja. The conversion kits were released with either a curved marquee for the "Bad Dudes" cabinets or with a flat marquee for use in other uprights.

If a Nintendo game doesn't load, try this.. turn it off, put your index finger in the indentation in the plastic and wiggle it back and forth a few times. Works about 95% of the time. Usually the problem isn't that they're dirty, they just don't seat correctly for whatever reason.

Plenty of arcade games had left and right buttons. I may be wrong but from what I saw at the time it seemed to be the rise of two player games that removde the left buttons on cabs and then that became the norm. Personally I used a right stick player when given the choice. If I am using something like a competition pro I still control with my right hand. It just made more sense to me. I am right handed and dont understand nor do I need to understand why most right handed folk control with the left hand. I liked choice. Choice was good. But then two players had way more buttons so something had to give

If u can make it to the second highest floor and get the baby food (max energy) u should be able to finish the game from there, the bosses are easy to defeat on the second last stage.
