Interesting, that's basically how I live in Thailand but don't drink. Coffee and breakfast on balcony + 2 meals out a day, golf looks about the same(walking affordable courses). a "date" every third day runs about the same. Housing and power a bit cheaper in Thailand. I just think the key is having affordable hobbies other than bars. Golf, riding motorcycles, swimming, whatever. With the average SS payment around 1800 this is basically any guy with 300k on a 4% drawdown + SS. Easily obtainable numbers for a very comfortable retirement.

You got to save a few $100 for Drs visits for shots and meds to cure your STD's cause you didn't put in condoms on your list. You got $20 bucks for drs prescribtions BUT not for STD mainatance and cureing. Its at least $100 bucks a visit for that. You might also need a DNA test kit and a home pregnancy kit on the budget too

Cheaper to go to immigration office to get visa extention, if there is one near you. Don't forget that ACR-1 card if you are here more than 59 days. Immigration never told me about the card, but charged me for one. I did not receive it until 4 months later. If you have a stay longer than 59 days, you won't be allowed to leave the country without ACR-1 card.

Technically, if you had $1,000,000, the safe withdrawal on that is 4% or.... $3333 a month. Not far off your $2700.

Nice topic but it would have been more funny to add comparisons of price for an old hag who is not a babydoll like saying 500 a month for dating or 200 if you want a old gravel voiced lola with a big head LOL. Papi's has a Eat My Balls sandwich promo to film, more talk of Grab and less trikes who offer a inferior dangerous ride in the pollution. Keep up the good work

On the millionaire lounge is that a monthly fee of 40 usd to use the saunas? The reason I ask is if you sauna 20 min a day 4 days a week it reduces heart attacks by 50 percent

a lot of those expenses are the same. But good breakdown. My brother asked. How much would I need if moved over to another country. I said a minimum of £3000 you need that to save for your flights back and such Also. Everyone needs a hobbies. Don't make it all about drinking and girls

Is there such thing as a permanent residence visa for the Philippines? Not talking spousal visa (do not want to beholden to anyone) but some kind of visa that does require a monthly trip.

I am a US expat living outside cebu city. I would not live here on under $5,000 a month. I worked hard to have a good life and am not going to live like a native. I live in a huge house with whole house AC and swimming pool, and all the trimmings. Great health insurance policy and plenty of money to spare for any unforseen emergency. I brought my US lifestyle with me. I have met too many broke expats here. You can't try to live a champagne lifestyle on a beer budget. My only gripe is that it is hard to find a good reliable pot source.

I'm retired in Canada with a nice place , pool, gym,sauna, all my stuff is delivered , food , booze , meds have a maid that lives here for 400 bucks a month because she has free room an board and a job aside from living here she is a nurse so she is doing great money wise and i get the happy ending whenever plus she smells good , costs me the same as what you have on your board except for putting money away for savings and gas , is the heat the reason people go there ?

My budget came out to be $9 60. I have a 2bd 2bath . 4 plex. New , first tenants in BATAAN. $210. MO. TRICK #1 = HAVE your Filipina find the apartment. They know all the good places to live and cheap rent.. 2 minutes drive to SM MALL, Robinson market, PURE GOLD MARKET. And HOSPITAL. Dentist, auto bike repair , and every thing else you will need is close by.

$80 per month visa ($960 per year)? An annual visa for Thailand is only $140. I'm just sayin....you can get a whole lot of short time with that $820 savings.

$2700 a month are u kidding me? I know it says rock star budget but That’s rural US prices. Main attraction for moving overseas is inexpensive living. Philippines and Thailand is over for cheap living. Too many foreigners there driving prices up and in ten years it will be way too expensive like what happened to Korea. Why even go when you can’t even own land without having to marry a Filipina. Vietnam is a much better option.
