Stephan, thank you for this video. It came in handy tonight when i had a guy turtled and denying my hook. Reached through, grabbed his elbow and drove him into side control which led to a mount and tap by americana.

That first one is the only move I remember from wrestling class in junior high. I later used it in submission wrestling class when I couldn't get my hooks in to take the back.

Beautiful - and the first move to get him on the side leaves open the Renzo Plastic Bag (Ezekiel) choke.

Those are nice. The first one is the one we teach to kids. A real judo guy will handle that one with ease. Probably the second one will catch a lot of guys though. I still think the best one for a judo guy is the judo sankaku from the front. Its mean, its fast and its effective. Thanks for sharing!

Mark O. Madsen calls the first one a ''cheese-throw''. Classic danish wrestling move. haha

Hi Stephan, I like most of your videos but how is that a turtle guard? How is this move possible in a real situation? The guy is not even trying to stay in the turtle while you make your moves...

If you have enough space to put your arm through on first one, why not just D'arce?
@chaos_omega9 жыл бұрын
+Chaz Hawkins You should try that too, probably. But if it doesn't work, "flow with the go" and try something else.

Are you f**king kidding me? All this time working on complex schemes and all I had to do is the one motion I'm great at. The Deadlift! Turtle position you're doomed!!

This didn't really help much, most guys (at least in judo) stick their leg out which neutralizes my ability to push them forward. I was hoping this would help with that

Hanging around in guard for 4 minutes "isn't jiu jitsu" either :^)
@HelloBotodesu9 жыл бұрын
+Nix6p I'd argue that surviving and keeping someone in your guard (where you can at least see the attacks coming) is more applicable in a real life situation than turtling and hoping someone doesn't stomp/kick your head.
