Piece of advice I've used this types of blasters for work what we found worked best is grab a thick trash bag poke a hole through the bottom and stick the pipe and hose through that hole from the bottom side into the bag then tape it around the hose to secure it so you don't get water then drop the bag over the bucket to keep your sand dry biggest issue you gonna have with those sand blasters is getting water in you sand pain in the ass

Good video, just so you know it'll work better and faster with the right sand. Playground type sand is to fine, and will clog more often. You need black blasting sand which is about $7-$8 ea. 50lb bag. Also put a lid on the bucket and stick the pipe threw a hole in the top, that will keep the moisture from getting to the sand. Good work buddy 👍🏻

i have the same attachment and i have to say the problem your facing with it not sucking up enough sand is because you don't have a powerful enough water blater. my blaster is 3800psi and 6 GPM and it works brilliantly tears through paint and rust instantly. on the contrary, I tried it with another water blaster that's closer to 2 gpm and 2500psi and it was very slow bearly worked with thin paint

what sand works best I wanna buy a 4,400 psi with 4GPM would the play sand still work?
@timothyhackett737210 ай бұрын
@soufwest7131 do not recommend play sand, it's got lots of large stones and shells in it that clog the nozzle almost immediately. I've tried it time and time again and every time I use it I remember why I hate using play sand lol. I like to use kiln-dried iron sand. As it's pretty common around here in NZ,

I put mine on a 15hp gas powerwasher putting out 4.2 gals per minute @ 4000 psi as per instructions. It does the whole frame front back & inside in 25 minutes. This video looked like a toy not a tool. It worked even better when I put the sand into & supplied to the washer wand from my air pressurized sand blast tank. It was smoothing the welds out........
@awfab35172 жыл бұрын
How much psi is the sand in the tank? I can see how that would work way better.
@tyroneshulace32032 жыл бұрын
@@awfab3517 The hoses would need to be pressure rated. The pressure would depend on your set up. Mine was pushing the sand out at 25 psi so I backed the pressure to 20 psi. Much trial error.. But works great.
