I just watched this other video about "disturbing" horror movies, and the 2 they talked about that sounded interesting and their on tubi is Bedrest and The Untamed. I use my only free time today to watch Bed rest and it was only okay. Even if their wrong about Bed rest I still want to see The Untamed because the way they described it about some alien monster causing humans and animals to become horny sounds crazy but original, and she claims the alien monster actually looks really really scary. Also the movie you talked about The Collector, there is a sequel to it and it's even more entertaining then the first movie, called The Collection. If you like The Collector you might like it's sequel or be like me and like it more then the first movie.

So you're saying it's good? I keep coming across it but since it's a foreign film I tend to think it's cheesy garbage as they don't spend the kinda money American films spend to make movies. Plus reading subtitles take that immersion out of it.
@krist73252 ай бұрын
@jonfreeman9682 If you're not watching anything foreign just because of that, you're doing a disservice to yourself, in my opinion. Like not eating another culture's food. I personally don't think subtitles take away from it, but depending on the platform you're watching it on, there are sometimes English dubbed versions available. Also, us Americans tend to remake many foreign horror movies. They are remaking it for a reason. Even IF they spend more money on it, that does not mean it's better - that applies to any remake, even Americans remaking an American film. That has been proven time and time again. All depends on what makes a movie good to you, of course. If someone only cares about special effects, what they consider a good movie will be very different from someone who mainly cares about the acting and plot.

I recommend checking out Frank Potente's Creep too (recently became one of my favorite horror movies, but a heads up - it does have some scenes where the MC nearly gets SA'd and the creator was inspired by old video-nasties that the UK used to have). Ok one more comment lol. Im an Iraq war veteran and i can't tell you how much I loved Possessor, I think if you've deployed before or have PTSD, you'll really relate to how she kind of "becomes the mission" and relates to her family. I think it might actually be therapeutic for some people, I know I cried like a baby afterward. Not because I was some sort of badass assassin or anything but just because I was so unprepared going in but then you get there and the stakes are real and you kind of become who you need to be and then you have to deal with all that once you come back. I felt so bad for her, like she was at the beginning of a journey that I knew too well. So anyway, I recommend that one for the vets if you haven't seen it yet.

One of my favorite hidden gem horror movies on Tubi has got to be 'Hell House LLC.' It's a documentary-style found footage film that documents a group of friends who set up a haunted house attraction in an abandoned hotel that's rumored to be haunted, as well as the alleged "accident" that took place on opening night that left several people dead (not a spoiler, they tell you this right from the beginning). It's got some really solid scares, especially the ones involving the creepy af clown dummies, and sets up a pretty intriguing mystery that they go more into in the movie's two sequels. The second and third movies aren't everyone's cuppa tea, although I personally liked them quite a bit and found the third movie's twist to be one of the more interesting ones I've seen in a horror film, but the first one is *absolutely* worth checking out if you're at all into found footage or documentary-style movies. Note, there are two versions of this film on Tubi, and I definitely recommend you watch the Director's Cut. It includes a few additional scenes, as well as one near the end that gives a lot more clarity as to what actually went down during Hell House's opening night. There's also a fourth film that's related to the first three called 'Hell House Origins: The Carmichael Manor,' but as far as I know it's not on Tubi, unfortunately, though it's also a highly recommended watch.

great list. if yall want there is evil dead trap 1 and 2, wacky japanese horror combo. Dark Waters 1993 is also a good horror time. Cant wait to dig into some of these though.

I remember watching Possum a few years ago and was definitely disturbed by it. It was a unique psychological horror about trauma and the inability to grow up in certain ways, I highly recommend it to anyone.

I'm surprised you didn't include Final Prayer in the found footage picks! I just checked and it doesn't seem to be leaving soon. I watched it on your rec and I was completely blown away. Complete different direction than you think it's going to go, and the ending...omg. Perfect example of cosmic horror. And I concur, Incident in a Ghostland is super disturbing, but it's from the director of the original French Martyrs, so that's to be expected.

"The Endless", "Syncronic", and "Resolution" are written by the hot film duo of Benson and Morehouse. These three films are excellent. Now, with that being said, I just finished "Something in the Dirt", which isn't up to the standards of the other three. I don't know what standard it falls under.

"XYZ is just terrible. I like it, I own it, I watch it." I've never related so hard. I collect VHS tapes, dvds, and CDs and most of my collection raises some brows as to why a collector would even want it. The secret?: I'm actually collecting nostalgia while preserving a media format precious to me

I am so happy that people are starting to talk more about Butterfly Kisses. It is SUCH a good piece of, not even just horror, film in general. I watched it after seeing a found footage iceberg and it just sounded appealing to me, but this movie consistently blew me away. The horror is great, it's a fairly fresh take on found footage, and, don't get me wrong, you can enjoy it passively, but the underlying message in the writing is stellar. Such a clever film, def recommend. I was so sad when I discovered the director/creator passed away. Rest in peace.

The reason I followed your channel is because we love a lot of the same movies particularly the found footage subgenre! I loved Gonjiam and Grave Encounters! I’ve been watching Tubi a lot recently and they have lots of found footage movies. Have you seen They’re Watching yet? It’s found footage and a little campy and has its funny moments but was a fun watch. I also wondered if you’ve ever seen The Company of Wolves? It’s a werewolf movie but done in such a beautiful fairytale like style. The practical effects are quite good (I believe this movie was made back in the 80’s?) I really enjoy your channel and have watched many of your recommendations! Thank you! 😊

PLEASE watch 13 sins!! Not only in my opinion, one of the best movies on Tubi, but it left a lasting impression in my head. I've watched it at least 3 times now.

I will easily say that Tubi even though I don’t go on there much because of the ads I usually prefer to avoid ads like the plague but I will say that when I want to find a horror movie that I haven’t seen a million times before Tubi is usually my best bet to go to and since it doesn’t have as many ad breaks like most other free streamers I must say, this is fantastic for that

Just wanted to add to this list: i highly recommend shapeless. Its a body horror film about bulimia so yeah, obviously major trigger warning. But it was just so unique and if you can stomach the hard hitting all too real theme, i highly recommend it. The writer and star has struggled with bulimia and as someone who has body image and food issues and has struggled in the past with bulimic tendencies, it really feels like great representation. Instead of relying on exploitation, its interested in exploring eating disorders through a horror lens and i found it to be highly effective. And it can be found on tubi.

Tubi would be much better if they added a rating service like IMDB or Rotten Tomatoes
