I was thinking the same, however, to be 100% fair, we don't know for sure what level of control the user has over the weight manipulation. For example, it seems they can only change their entire body's weight, not specific body parts, so they probably can't move too much (or at all) after increasing it past a certain point, which is probably why they only attack by letting themselves fall on top of people from the air.

Personally I think most zoan users think about them too statically. The concept of them only having three forms has always bothered me, I think they're far more capable of much more unique and versatile transformations. If only people were creative enough to realise it, like Chopper. I think they all have access to multiple forms like Chopper, even without the rumble ball. They just don't think about it enough because everyone is convinced zoans only have three forms. It's like devil fruit gaslighting. Since everyone is convinced this is how they work and so they don't experiment any further. I feel the same way about the kilo and ton fruit, imagine the idea of weight manipulating only parts of your body to make blows heavier, when people hit you, you could make that part of your body as heavy as possible, or using the weightlessness to allow yourself to move faster, kinda the same principal as Brook. Remember devil fruits thrive off of imagination.

I think a weight-manipulation fruit could work - just not as a combat-focused one. For example, the user could use it for reconnaissance; float up in the air with a pair of binoculars, and they now have a good vantage point to pick out the enemie's locations. In this sense, I think Gem and Mikita would have functioned better in the role of the Unluckies; Mikita could identify the traitor's position, and then Gem carries out the hit.

Not gonna lie, but Whitebeard's and Magellan's fruit look pretty violent in my opinion. They have like no other application than harm. (I don't want to read people saying that you could use the Gura Gura no Mi for controlled demolitions and the Doku Doku no Mi for making Antidotes because you can figure out a non-violent way of using most of the fruits on this list, like using the Bomu Bomu no Mi for controlled demolitions, or the Pamu Pamu no Mi for controlled demolitions, or the Nito Nito no Mi for controlled demolitions, or the Buki Buki no Mi for controlled demolitions, along as many other Fruits with interesting and creative applications that might or not involve controlled demolitions in some shape of form, with a greater predisposition to involve it.)

Kilo kilo no mi is honestly one of the best examples of a terrifyingly powerful fruit with a mediocre user. Manipulation of mass is so incredibly broken. She could achive phasing through objects, self-sustained free flight. Hell, even awakening. Just touch people's clothes or weapons and increase their mass to points they wouldn't be able to move. Truly endless possibilities.

I always thought the kilo kilo fruit was misunderstood and misused. Both the Kilo Kilo and the Ton Ton are used in the same way but they do that in my mind at least in different ways. A person's weight is dependent on their mass and the acceleration due to gravity of the planet they are on. I've always thought that the Kilo Kilo changed Valentine's mass while the Ton Ton changed the acceleration of gravity on just Machvise. This would mean 2 things. ONE: The Kilo Killo was significantly underrated as Valentine could change her mass without changing her size making her unbelievably dense, meaning when using her fruit she should have been far harder to hit, and even lighter punches, things like that should have farm more momentum meaning far harder hitting. To me, this is a case of the user had no idea how to use her fruit properly and it's gotten a bad name because of it. Two: These two fruits wouldn't be connected to each other as they do different things. The Ton Ton fruite should be the far lesser version of the Zushi Zushi no me, one can change the gravitational acceleration on everything else one can change the gravitational acceleration on just themselves.

Mass manipulation becomes very poweful when you start to analyze the physics of it. Mass and velocity are connected via momentum preservation rule which means person with this power could effectively manipulate their velocity. Immidiately you can notice that extremly potent application would be to abuse the kinetic energy equation, as velocity is squered there, so if you start a punch for example at full mass and drop it rapidly during the attack to minimum mass, the energy of that punch will increase the number of times, by which you decreased your mass. In case of miss so in case of kiro kiro no mi 10,000 times. And you might think that's ridiculous where that energy would come from. right? Well physics actually have an explonation for that namly the Higgs field, it's the field that distributes mass without it very particle would massless like photons. And just like any other field in physics it's fluactuations are tied to release of energy, based on size and rate of that change, so rapid change from 1t to 1kg would realse massive (hehe) amounts of energy, moreover it means that change in other direction would result in equal amount of energy being released, but I don't know what form that energy would took. In our universe however the Higgs field has reached a stable state across the universe (probably) making mass consistent across it. But considering effect of the fruit, from physics standpoint Higgs field manipulation is one serious possible explanation. I think at least. And that's not all. Manipulating your mass during movment, simlarly to what described above, could also be great for movment tricks. Again because of momentum preservation you could, change your velocity at acceleration dependent on rate at which you change your mass, suddenly coming almost to dead stop even in the air or the other way around decreasing your mass to rapidly accelerate. Next it is worth to mention durabilty buff when at high mass as that translates to high density and density is important factor for high velocity impacts especially when hit by a projectiles and with how high density these fruits can reach it would influance even low velocity impacts quite substentially. Other benefit of density manipulation is Buoyancy at lowest density you could easily cross bodies of water. as you need to have a rather big portion of your body submerged to feel the side-effects. Overall I think pairing one of these fruits with rokushiki could create a bunch of devstating techniques.
