The 2017 Audi RS7 is UNBELIEVABLY Fast!

yep. Just bought a 2017 performance with a $160k sticker for half msrp and its a ton of car for money. I had a 2016 and it didn't have car play out the box, 2017 does which makes car feel very modern. Had a 2022 RS7 and the 17' feels much faster. Only thing I wish they put on the older cars was 4 wheel turning .

My friend owns an exotic car dealership and has driven every car from Rolls Royce, Bentley, Lamborghini, Ferrari, Ashton Martin, Maserati, to etc and said this is the most fun, comfortable and practical car he has ever owned. For the price, you get a little touch of all the exotics in one. And trunk space he said is amazingly big also.

Torque Junkies Dude, you're talking about acceleration figures of sedans and Tesla isn't in the conversation?! The RS7 is obviously very quick. But it is still no match for a Tesla Model S P100D. The Tesla can reach the 1/4 mile in 10.5 seconds. And it is still heavier than the RS7, weighing over 4900lbs.

Sven Teresniak First of all, that is your opinion! And you do not represent ANYONE (including other Germans) but yourself, with regards to your views and opinions. And, I personally disagree with you. Not only do I think the Tesla Model S P100D is a beautiful car. But I also think it is one of the better-looking sedans on the market. And the car have received accolades regarding its design by several car journalists and automotive enthusiats all across the globe. In fact, the folks at Motor Trend pointed out that the exterior design of the P100D is very similar to that of the RS7, in their most recent comparison test of the two sedans. The Car Connection gave it a 9/10 on exterior styling. And even Alaatin62 (in one of his video review and test drive of a red Model S) pointed out that "it is just a gorgeous car," repeatedly. Secondly, why does everything have to be about "looks"? I, mean, a car is intended to transport people from Point A-B. And we also enjoy the great performance of the more powerful ones. These are the reasons why we by vehicles. I don't see the significance of "looks," especially when it comes to chosing a car. Are some of us really that insecure? I, mean, are you buying a car in order to help you feel better about yourself?

I did 16 laps on the Autobahn track in october last year. It was a 2016 model along with 16 laps on the r8. i think these are amazing cars. The accerelation is very smooth. loved it. But R8 V10 plus puts this car to shame. Its just brutal.

R8 doesnt put this to shame smh... This car weighs somuch more than the R8 and is 4-5 seater and still catches close to a v10 engine when its v8. If anything the r8 is put to shame but they are both Audi and amazing cars.

You don't even know what im talking about. The acceleration from stand still is just brutal. This car is very fast but they are not comparable. I was pulling 2.6 seconds again and again in R8 plus but the best I got out of RS7 was 3.3 seconds. Thats a big difference. The power to weight advantage in R8 is significant. Handling is different too since I was on a track.

btw. you made a small mistake. the rs7 has a 8speed auto it is not a dual clutch. some of your reviews are decent . i like the subaru sti one.

You're right, the DCT can't handle the torque, an automatic can because of its viscous coupling.

I know this is a bit late but the RS7 performance did 0-60 in 3.7secs not 3.2secs it was only 0.2secs fast than that standard car

Audi having some RS7 models with the generic and basic front seats from the regular A6 & A7 was a real injustice for the whole idea of an RS7. What decision makers decided that was a good idea.

Acceleration is referred to as quick, NOT fast. You guys must be idiots. Fast is a reference of mph. 0-100 mph in 11.5 sec is pretty quick, and also going 100 mph is fast. It does the 1/4: 12.8@110 mph. Yes, in ref to a 1/4 mi, it's quick and fast.

Michael Harris That is true (although fast can also be used to describe acceleration). The word "fast" is more frequently or generally used than "quick," in describing velocity or speed. A Tesla P100D can reach the 1/4 quicker than an Audi RS7. But we can't say it is faster than an RS7, because its top speed is 155mph, while the RS7 can go up to 190mph.
