Would love to have that BRG TR6! Always wanted one of those. Own a 74 Spitfire and 68 GT6+ myself. Got some pretty sweet machines at that show. Some I haven’t seen in a long time. I actually have one of the half cabs for those old Scouts like that one. Getting hard to find these days. Loved that old Model T truck! That was a really sweet flat fender restoration too. Like you, I really like the old Mopars. The 340 Duster was sweet, and the old B series van/pickup was cool to see. Not many of those around anymore. Glad to hear about the Sonnet! Hope someday to see you give it the love it deserves.

You made the right decision on keeping the Sonnet. Watching that video this car means more to you than just a car. Glad you have a place to store it. That seems to be the number one issue, where do I put this car I love. So again glad you are going to keep it out of the gabbage and good luck with it in the future Amesie.

Great video, you are a very good RC Car driver, kudos on your decision on keeping the sonet, I have had many rare cars myself (RX3, MGB,1970 Camaro RS, 1968 cuttlass supreme convertible, RX7 2+2 and now a Lexus LS460 with a V8) before I found your channel, I never had the chance to ever see a saab sonet before, so for that reason, a rare car is always worth keeping. Nice show, those are the ones I really like when you never really know what will be on display It makes it more fun than seeing one type or make all day long I had to laugh when you looked under the Scout my grandfather had one he used as a work truck and I liked riding in it because I could watch the front passenger tire turning thru the holes in the floor boards Lol my Mom never knew that untill I was a adult because I knew as a kid she wouldn’t let me ride in it when he went thru puddles water would splash up off the tire and mist me and my legs He would let me sit in it and I pretended to drive that thing for thousands of miles in the 70s , since then I always thought they were cool one of my first cars was a CJ7 in the 80s as most of the Scouts were pretty rusted out When I looked at them and I came across a newer used Jeep on a sales lot the Jeep turned out being a very fun and memorable vehicle to own especially as a Florida everyday car

If you're keeping the Sonett, keep your eyes peeled for chassis metalwork. Repro floor panels and rockers may be really hard to find a few years down the line. Consider an engineless breaker, they are out there and your area was Saab country as you well know. Reach out to nesaab.com/ Don't just forget it, remember "Rust never sleeps".

Hmm 17:39, I get the feeling I know that car, as back on an old car ad website from the early 2000's, called cars on line dot com I saw that shelby, a GT350 on sale for about 20 some G, as its got a 289 vs the 428 of the famous one. So no one ever looked at them. But with the Sonnet, why not make one last try and fix what you can run at it, piece by piece, even if its small, try and do it. and have a trailer to take it to and from the repair shop? like even maybe take messurements of the areas that would need to be replaced with new patches, and just make them at the shop and then store them with the car till you get that shot at fixing them in one go that way your not having it there for that whole day, only to have it take 3 and get you in trouble, like treat it like a lego set, build it up piece by piece, only thing is you gotta build the pieces first, and just focus on building those pieces till you can get a good section of it done on one of those weekends when you feel like it. and then make a rush run at it, as concrete holds moisture just as well as dirt does, if not more.

That Renault 17 is the same as mine same colour except mine has the sunshine roof but its a tl.. That should have the same engine in as the Renault 12 Gordini. But it used fuel injection instead of twin Webber's :-)

Amesie's Automotive Corner They are quite rare Especially in convertible mine had sat on a farm for 10 years and filled up with water and rotted the floor pan and rear inner panels below the windows. Sills on all four corners did the welding outside on the drive in the summer and sprayed the entire car yellow in the drive outside

When are yous guys going to get smart and quit putting salt on the roads. It eats up bridges, roads and cars. Use fine ground granite, which you have a ton of and it goes back where it came from...duh.

Get rid of the toy car and look more at the real cars. That fire engine for instance. just saying.
