Quick correction. The UK variant of the Vantage also has the hood release in the passenger footwell. So the hood release isn’t there in the US version because it’s designed for a right hand drive market. They’ve actively chosen to locate the hood release in the passenger footwell no matter which market they’re selling to.

Looks to me like you get a pretty good bang for the buck. Guess it's to early to tell when it comes to reliability. As far as the front end goes, it's the ubiquitous whale shark mouth as used in dozens of models from many builders over the last 10 years or so. This car is drop dead stunning IMO. I've been taught at the driving school to open the door with the opposite hand, while the hand nearest to the door holds the handle so that when you open it you have enough control of it and it wont just open by itself if other drivers are coming from behind. Shmee DeMuro I disagree Aston Martin are good at making great sounding and performing naturally aspirated engines but not at turbo ones at all. When it comes to turbo v8s no one does it better than amg. So I don't see a problem with it.

I don't see any problem! It's not as if it's a bad engine is it, it's also easier and more cost effective to buy engines from huge companies like Mercedes instead of building your own, plus AM modify them to the specs they desire even to the extent of modifying the actual engine block, they are basically stripped down and rebuilt, it's a totally different engine by the time the gearbox, drive train, exhaust system has been put together! It's how most of these high end sportscar/luxury car companies do it nowadays, especially in the UK where all the top brands are now owned by the big German brands, they work together on design and parts from the parent company then built by the same people at the same places in the uk where they have been doing it for decades, Rolls, Bentley, Land Rover,Aston Martin, Jaguar,McLaren, lotus and 2 other sports car brands which I can't remember only Morgan is totally British I think. It's made them all better cars though and saved a couple of them from disappearing for ever!

Arturo Hernández Martínez well. Amg has a project one which is a rival to the huayra so your point is mute. Also all of what you just mentioned is hardly even 5% of the car. The chassis is a aston Martin the styling both inside and out is aston martin, the transmission and exhaust modification is aston martin etc etc. So its still 95% aston martin. And either way there is nothing wrong with having Mercedes switches. They are far more reliable than aston martin and even Mercedes old infotainment system is light years ahead of anything aston could make themselves. So its not a bad thing at all.

I can confirm that the door handles are designed to force you to open them with your other hand. This is called 'The Dutch Reach' and is part of the driving test in at least the Netherlands.
