Why? Why? Why do auto makers think that the tacked on iPad on the dash is a good look? It looks like such an after thought. So many manufacturers are doing this now. It’s no better than a teenage kid sticking his iPad to the dash of his Neon. Fail Lincoln. Major fail.

That "look" is functional. Initiated and hated at Mercedes Benz first, it allows a driver to avoid dropping the eyes to see the screen. It also allows the dash to be design friendly eliminating the need to factor in a screen. Lastly allows the screen size to continue to grow in diameter. Actually the opposite of your statement is true. It is very thought out.

New Lincoln's are beautiful machines, their interiors look gorgeous but I've read a few articles and seen on KZbin some tests that show interior quality as not good enough. They look as good as a Range Rover but the image just isn't the same and I still think small capacity turbo engines won't last and are usually far less actually economical than a larger V8. Jacob Nyambu hard to say, a fully loaded one is like 80k, at that price you can get the navigator. If youre okay getting a lower trim level with less bells and whistles you could come in around 65k, thats decent value for money and undercuts a lot of its german competitors. The options for this are just very tempting and I think contribute to a lot of the aviators appeal in the first place. And they force-package a lot of the options together so for example air suspension might be $2500, but to get that you need the reserve II package which is another $5000 and comes with stuff you might not want. Same thing if you just want to add a pano sunroof or larger wheels or their perfect position seats... Wish individual options existed bc this thing gets very expensive very quickly.
