Minivans are useless since most are front drive only. Have fun driving in the winter or pulling a boat up a slippery ramp or need to accelerate quickly on a wet surface. That being said everyone should get an all wheel drive Highlander even if you live in Florida.

Brian The Toyota Sienna has AWD as an option. Tires makes the biggest difference when it comes to road performance on snow, rain etc. I believe as long as your not flooring it like a drag race then grip in rain is not going to be a big problem for the most part. For towing I cannot say what a persons needs in terms of towing capability since I don’t do any towing.

This seems like a decent improvement, though the tiny third row is still a disappointment. This in no way comes close the Telluride or Palisade in desirability, but seems better than any other entries in the segment. Buying this will still get you Toyota's legendary reliability and resale value, which probably won't be true of the Korean twins, especially regarding the resale. The Koreans are getting pretty reliable though and have a far better warranty than Toyota.
@stephenhendricks1034 жыл бұрын
Resale value is frequently misunderstood. Last year I traded a KIA Sorento for a 2018 model. The dealer gave me a trade-in value within $800 of the blue book estimate of the value of a comparable 2012 Highlander with similar trim, mileage, and condition. Considering that I had saved over $6000 in the initial purchase price of the Sorento compared to the best deal I was offered for a 2012 Highlander, my net savings amounted to about $5400.

@coffeeinthemorning Idk. I think they might lose some market share with this design. Lots of people are buying the Telluride.

Anyone who buys a vehicle outside of a reliability test is crazy. These things are experience. I buy a vehicle to last. Who gives a crap about all these stupid feature nuances. I just hope Toyota continues to build reliable vehicles.

Get a Palisade or the Telluride and be happy.

Mazda CX-9 is still the best when it comes to exterior and interior design. TOYOTA needs to come up with a better front-grill design.

For some reason Toyota continues to hire blind designers...it's not working out well for them.

Oh cut it out and just wait for the Model Y. Seriously people ... ?

They could have made the front look nicer if they copied Mazda CX-9

Not feeling that strange asymmetrical dash. Doesn’t seem big enough and is priced too high. Really only thing it has on Koreans is reliability, should be 5000 cheaper across the board.

These Toyota instrument clusters all look cheap. My 1986 Cressida looked better.

Jesus Cry..don't compare the Highlander to the junk GM Traverse.

This is I'm sure, a wonderful car for people who have absolutely no passion for driving - but the exterior is a lot less attractive than the current model. It's an interesting shift that the RAV is now more rugged (masculine?) looking and the new Highlander looks a bit soft and bloated next to it's last-gen design. Personally, I like the outside but I couldn't drive something that looks that bloated as my own car. Kia, Hyundai, and Honda are all much much better looking. The interior is nice though, except for what looks like an infotainment ladle on the dash. I'd buy a Sorento and save 10k though.
