I picked up a tdi Q5 as a daily this summer, and with the S package, it's a great road trip and commuter rig. Definitely a fan of the Q5 platform.

It sure isn't as gharstly as most crossovers. Clean lines, decent proportions for a SUV, nice interior... It's almost elegant. But those fake exhaust tips are >so< unnecessary... I mean, it is almost there like a few inches away :P

It looks pretty great for a crossover! But absolutely, if you're not going to highlight the real exhaust, I'd rather not have fake exhaust tips-just leave that design element out!

MAGA = Make Automobiles Green Again! Great to finally see this one. I think I'd be a little crestfallen if I spent 70 grand on the sportiest version to find it lacking in the sportiest settings. You'd think with modern adjustability, Audi would make the most dynamic setting TRULY dynamic!

Yes!! Get the green!!! Initially my expectations were not quite in line with how Audi has positioned this vehicle. After driving it for a few days it clicked-this is not a canyon carver, and Audi isn't really pitching it as such. It's a refined SUV with a ton of power and a touch of athleticism. Once I figured out who the car was for, it makes a lot more sense. But you're right, I still think they could've dialed up the excitement in Dynamic mode! :)

1) "please buy this green. Buy less gray." I couldn't agree more, STOP BUYING SILVER AND GRAY FOR A WHILE. It's so god damned boring and now carmakers are removing actual color to make room for more gray. Who needs a car available in 5 shades of freaking gray? 2) "Most buyers of the SQ5 drivers won't be driving as much like an idiot as I do..." ... oh, Ethan... ALL Audi drivers are idiots behind the wheel. 3) 72 grand for a somewhat cramped in the rear 5-seat crossover that doesn't even have cooled front seats? No, I'd spend 50 grand on a much larger 3-row Palisade Calligraphy that has all the features this thing is missing and can actually fit my family of freakish giants, then take a small amount of the 22 grand left over and fix the suspension on my Miata, and play with that whenever I've got the mid-life crisis blues. Or wait 2 more years and see what 3-row EV offerings are available.
